Can you run a internet  cable down or take computer up to the cable box and download  to the drive

Chris, the computer I need would have to have the old style "slot thingie" (correct technical term unknown to me) installed to accept the SRT board. SRT runs in DOS (I think that's what it is referred to).........

Serial  port?

I did a little research  on ebay and found a few desk tops that will work for Al's track need. They are going for around 100 to 200 bills. Who would be willing to pitch in some cash and help buy if the one we have can not be saved ?.

Yep the computer is toast. Hopefully  it can be repaired in time  for our next race. If any body has a working desk top with the old style 25 pin vga hook up they not using  and would  like to donate  give Al a call.

Yep was a long day at work and was wiped  out..... I figured let people question  who did what... you had a good night. Keep that up and you will be hard to beat  in the championship next time around..

So here  is Odd Thursday  race report.  We 6 racers make the show. We had some fast cars and we had some not so fast cars. There was some close racing some of us stayed in the slot and some  of us not so much. In the end we had winners and we had loosers. But ant no big deal because the simple man makes the pills that ...... Some enjoy the thrill of victory other the bitter taste of defeat.  We take along month  break with no racing on the next odd Thursday  race so lots of time to tune those cars..

It rumble  in the basement. Who's  up for some paint trading?

I'm a die hard so unless I'm out of town I'm in. Also Al still running throughout  the summer so people can get there racing fix that way also. We most of us have at least one spare car to loan out.

We had another fun night racing. We had 6 racer make the drive out with one of them being his 1st time out. Bruce been running ho cars with the local ho club so he knew his way around a slot car track. So after a some practice we threw him in and started the racing for the night. Up 1st was Trans am and Doc some how took the win over Al with Dave  on the last  step. Up next was Can Am  there were some fast cars but to many forced errors   Doc car wasn't  the fastest  one but was quick enough and three mistake  free rounds to take a easy win over Al and Greg taking 3rd. We lost two drivers so track call were in order for the last race of the night
It all came down to the last heat of the night. Doc had one tenth lead and both Al and Doc lined up side by side in the two fast lanes. The start buzzer sounded and off they went for 3min racing side by side the whole  way neither  able to pull more than a few car lengths from each other and when the time counted down to zero Doc able coast  and finish half a car length  in front of Al and hold par for the win. It close and a clean heat with both drivers keeping there cars in the slot and keeping of each other . Great racing there Al.. that was it for the night see you all in two weeks.

What's  that smell in the air ?. Could  be hi octane fuel and exhaust  from 800 hp v 8 engines  warming up I. The afternoon  sun...get those thundering monsters from the golden Era  of onload racing tuned up for battle...

Al reports it is a typo will need it changed to 07 13 23

That might be a typo should be the 07 13 23.have to give Al a text and make sure.

I remember those display case  I may have even been one of those kids pushing and drooling  at all the amazing toys it displayed.  A DNA test may be in order.
