Here is a chassis block that I made many, many years ago while still working and had access to the machine shop at Warn Industries. Made of aluminum, 3/8" thick, 4.5" wide X 9.5" long. 1/4" squares machined in. I could use 1/8" or 3/32" axles by moving the posts.
I see your point Steve, but you may get some push back from other racers! You are doing well, keep it going!

Welcome back Flyin Bryan after about 6yrs. absence.
This was a very laid-back and fun night of messing with Halloween themed slot cars. If you are looking for a fun event, this is the one. For the people who missed this race for one reason or another, you definitely missed out on a fun night................and food and candy etc. I heard talks of discontinuing this event for lack of interest, that would be a shame in my opinion.
Only at the event the car was raced on that day and has been teched. If it is a non-points/fun race, then you can have the car teched and go for a record.
Track records have been updated as of Oct. 27, 2025.
Because Can-Am is now required to use Bluegroove bodies, a new track record has been set. The old track record held by Bob McFarland using a thin body was 4.526 on Oct. 4, 2014.
Also, the Early Modified and Late Modified has been combined, the track record is set using the fastest time between the two.
Same with the Early Sportsman and Late Sportsman that is now combined to just sportsman.

Getting a Can-Am car ready for Bill's race at Checkered Flag Raceway on April 25, '26. I don't know who built this chassis, I think it came from Beau Frasier's collection. I am going to install taller front tires and rework the rear axle assembly. The body is a Bluegroove McLaren M6.
