I wanted to go but just couldn’t swing it this time, maybe the next one

Thanks Howie,

It was an enjoyable celebration and a fitting tribute to Beau. I also need to thank my pit crew for the race as my car performed flawlessly.

Thanks Howie, it was an enjoyable season and one of steady improvement for some of us

A fun fun race and some close finishes, what more could you ask for?

I had a great time at my first OSCAR race, thank you all for being so welcoming. I also owe Stuart a BIG THANK YOU for being such a quality instructor. The cars we built at class all performed well. All in all a good day

Regards
Rico

I figured out after the racing was over that my controller was not always returning all the way causing some consistency issues. I need to get a new handle to repair it properly as I'm not convinced the repair I performed last night is going to last.

`Yes, it was a jovial bunch of racers last light. I hope Mark was not too upset by his nickname, it came from this:

Hardcastle and McCormick is an American action crime drama television series that aired on ABC from September 18, 1983, through May 5, 1986. The series stars Brian Keith as Judge Milton C. Hardcastle and Daniel Hugh Kelly as ex-con and race car driver Mark "Skid" McCormick.

During an interview in the early 1980s, producer Stephen J. Cannell referred to the then-upcoming series as Rolling Thunder.

Premise
Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Milton C. "Hardcase" Hardcastle is an eccentric judge notorious for being strict with the law in both his duties and towards defendants. Preparing for his retirement, he notices file drawers filled with 200 people who escaped conviction due to legal technicalities. Inspired by his childhood hero the Lone Ranger, Hardcastle desires to make the criminals answer for their crimes.

Mark McCormick is a smart-mouthed, streetwise car thief. He faces a long incarceration for his latest theft, a prototype sports car called the Coyote X, designed by his murdered best friend. Together, the judge and the car thief strike a deal in which Hardcastle helps McCormick catch the murderer and McCormick agrees to work (his conditional parole) as the judge's agent. In addition, McCormick is allowed to keep the Coyote, which proves to be an excellent pursuit vehicle for their needs.

Cast
Brian Keith as Judge Milton C. "Hardcase" Hardcastle
Daniel Hugh Kelly as "Skid" Mark McCormick
Mary Jackson as Sarah Wicks (1983)
John Hancock as Lt. Michael Delaney (1984–85)
Ed Bernard as Lt. Bill Giles (1984–85)
Joe Santos as Lt. Frank Harper (1985–86)
John Ashley as narrator during show opening

And NOT from the condition of his underwear of which I have no knowledge

Your photo edge part and my car mysteriously slowing down for several laps and then fixing itself, weird night indeed.

Mesh is what is supposed to be used by rule. Just screen door/window material.

The GT-1 is legal under current rules. As far as I know the saloon cars are not along with the Ferrari 333.

It was my first run at Gorge Raceway and I've got to say despite the challenge it presents, I liked racing on it. However the multiple contusions on my shoulder from hitting the display case might disagree a little. I guess I'm just a slow learner.  Thanks for a fun night of racing Bob and everyone.

Thanks Doc. I figured as much, but just wanted to be sure so as to avoid potential issue in the future

I would like some clarification on what cars are legal for a few of the new classes:

1) Slot.it/Policar Classic- I spoke with Doc last night about whether the Policar Ferrari 330p4/412P was legal and he said it was on the list but the Policar listed is actually a BRM F1 car (Policar PCAR06A)

2) Slot.it DTM- The list of cars has the Mercedes 190E but not the C-Class.  The lastest releases from Slot.it are called C-Class and not 190E. See the yellow ProMarket (CA53a) car and the upcoming white Warsteiner car (CA54a). The original 190 releases are getting harder and more expensive to find. The only silver release (CA44c) I can find is on Ebay for $90.00 plus shipping. Are we going to include these cars?

Very sad news indeed. Rest In Peace Beau you will be missed.

A big THANKS to Al for opening the track to us despite his situation.
I hope we got everything shut down properly.

Which race would be the points race?

Nice work Dan, thank you for the effort. I just have one question. LMP cars are among the fastest on the planet, why have a lower rpm motor limit than older and presumably slower cars listed in other classes?

Rico

I just realized that Dominic's football awards night is on Thursday so I get to miss another race. :-(

I echo those sentiments Doc, I loved racing at Too Bad.  Dominic's last football game is Thursday and he is playing with his cast all wrapped up. Looks like a club. He played last night and scored a TD. See ya all on Nov 3.

A nice pair of cars there Mitch

Thanks Howie for hosting the race. I might have to say the pizza was the best part of my day, my car was just too slow to keep up with the most of the field. I am happy to not have had any issues with my car, and mostly stayed out of crashes. Need to work on the speed issue.

Dominic has a football game, so I will not be there

I think this is a sensible compromise
