The NASCAR Flexi race at Springwater Raceway is June 3rd, 2023. This race is for the 4.5 inch chassis, using NASCAR car and truck bodies. The race will consist of 4 rounds / 4 minute heats. 2 rounds with cars and 2 rounds with trucks. It has been asked if the cars and trucks must use the same chassis all the way through. The answer is no. You can race a different chassis between the cars and trucks. You cannot change chassis during the cars or the trucks. This is the final race of the season at Springwater Raceway. I need at least 12 racers to commit to racing before May 27th or the race will be cancelled. UPDATE: Was out of town on vacation and could update the list. Thanks, Bill Bostic, for helping get racers signed up. The race is on. See you all Saturday June 3rd.

The program consisted of 2 racers at a time going head-to-head, with 3 corner marshals, racing 2 - 4 minute heats for 2 rounds and 2 - 3 minute heats for 2 rounds. The side by side racing provided some great neck and neck battles all through the night. The final results show how well the racers are getting to know this tight twisty layout.

Race #4 of 5 for the 2022-2023 Porsche 962 Challange Series was contested on March 25th, 2023. The venue was Springwater Raceway on the 130 ft. Ogilvie Grandstand 8 lane commercial track. 14 racers converged on a crisp Saturday morning to prepare for a full day of racing. After practice and some thrashing to get cars ready to race, the event rolled of at approximately 11:30 am. The race consisted of 4 racers on the outside four lanes for a round. 4 racers on the inside 4 lanes for a round. This rotation was repeated one more time, so each racer raced on all 8 lanes twice, for a total of 64 minutes for each racer. The totals were added up, and an overall winner was declared. Points are awarded for each finishing position and the racer with the highest total after the 5-race series is the winner. This series cycles through 5 different tracks. The day was filled with close racing, flying cars and feverish pit work to keep cars in the race. Unfortunately, a few racers were unable to complete the event. A special thanks to my wife, Teri, who picked up and delivered pizza.
The final results showed how close some of the battles were, which provided fun and excitement throughout the day.

The first official PASER True Scale Trans Am race was held at The Gorge Raceway on January 28th, 2023. 11 racers came to participate in this new PASER class. Thanks to Frank Lynn, Tim Booze and Matt Bell for coming and racing for the first time. A mix of PASER Trans AM and TA2 cars from NWTS raced 4 minute heats, rotating 2 times on each lane for a total of 32 minutes for each driver. The Gorge Raceway is a technical 4 lane routed wood track, 72 feet in length which made for tight racing with close battles and a few big crashes. A special thanks to those who brought snacks. When the smoke cleared, the final results:
1. Racerbob 321 laps
2. Bad Billy 299 laps
3. Turing John 282 laps
4. Meat 273 laps
5. Howie 267 laps
6. Fearless Frank 246 laps
7. Tiny Tim 246 laps
8. Prozack 206 laps
9. Timba 205 laps
10. Matt 187 laps
11. Hersh 62 laps

Had an eventful first even Thursday race at The Gorge Raceway. The Womp race was cancelled due to an insufficient number of racers. It was test and tune until the 6pm Late Model Sportsman race. 6 racers participated with a 3 lane, 4-minute heats, 2 times through format. Never a dull moment running these cars on the tight and twisty configuration of the track. When all was said and done.................
1st: Racerbob - 227.5 laps
2nd: Prozack - 223.5 laps
3rd: Bad Billy - 220.1 laps
4th: Howie - 185.5 laps
5th: Rico - 175.6 laps
6th: Doug - 100.6 laps
Thank you those who came to race. It was a fun time!
