A cool and brisk afternoon welcomed a group of 10 racers to another Odd Monday at Rob’s Redline Racing. We switched things up and ran the Womp class next with 10 racers and Rob took home the win, followed by Bill B. and Mike G. to round out the podium. Lastly we ran the feature race, the 4 inch Flexi cars. 10 racers took the start and Bob N. again squeeked out the win closely followed by Mike G. and Bill B. to round out the podium. The Short Track Stockers made their first trip to the racetrack at The Gorge Raceway. This is a new class that was added to round out the style of cars that race under the CRSCR banner. 10 racers blew in to compete and have some fun. It was windy outside, but it was calm and peaceful inside until the green flag flew. Their are a lot of unknowns anytime a new class is run and we found out these smaller, narrower but very peppy cars raced well together. Short track racing is known for some beating and banging during a race and these cars lived up to that premise. Loose parts, hard crashes and some great side by side racing highlighted the day. Mitch stopped in and provided corner marshaling during the event and we all appreciated the extra help. Overall this first race was a success and I look forward to running these cars again. In the end, home field advantage prevailed and NakNak, (Bob N. and track owner), came through with the win. A tie for second between Flyin Bryan and Bill H. was settled by lowest overall track time. All 10 racers completed the race and that is always a good outcome. Thank you racers for your continued support of local club racing.
Final Results:
Name/Laps
1. NakNak 319
2. Flyin Bryan 294
3. Bill Henry 294
4. Steve Ennis 287
5. Bad Billy 281

2026 started off with a bang as the first Odd Monday race of the year at Rob’s Redline Raceway saw 8 hearty racers gathered for some fun, fellowship and some absolutely first-rate side by side, it’s not over till it’s over close racing. All Monday races are a one time through, 3 minute heats race program which moves along quickly and the evening is usually done by 8 pm. The evening started off with the ever-popular Womp class. Rob took home the victory. Next up, the 4 inch Flexi cars. Bob N. picked up the win with a record total of 208 laps. The evening concluded with the quirky Midget class and Doc finessed his way to the win with his smooth and calculated driving. Thanks to Rob for hosting the race and the ever-popular hot dogs. Thanks to each racer who showed up to support our local club racing.

The final odd Monday for 2025 is in the books. 11 racers showed up to tackle Rob's fast and sometimes tricky track layout. The track was rubbered up and warmed up to provide a track surface with a lot of grip. The opening race saw the 1/32 production cars take to the track and these cars are really getting fast. Bob N. led the way to the win followed by Doc. Flyan Bryan rounded out the podium. The tie braker was the fastest lap. The main event featured the 4 inch Flexi cars. The fastest cars we race. Doc and Bob N. tied for first with fastest lap being the tie breaker. Bill Bostic rounded out the podium. The final race of the evening were the Womps. This race separated 1st through 3rd by only 3 laps. The overall finish had close battles throughout. Flyan Bryan picked up the win followed by Steven and Mike G. to complete the podium. Weener Winner points were awarded to three different racers, showing the ever increasing skill and close competition in the group. Thanks Rob for having the group over for a fun night.

The CRSCR Womp class invaded the Gorge Raceway for a Saturday afternoon shootout. This is only time the Womps will compete this year at The Gorge Raceway and 7 racers came to have an afternoon of fun. Steve Ennis brought his son Grayson for his first time racing a Womp and competed in his first race. Great job driving and corner marshalling Grayson. The atmosphere was light as racers prepared for a 2 round sprint race with 4 minute heats. That proved to be a perfect heat length to give everyone plenty of racing time to hone their skills and to have some close side by side competition. Their were a few bad crashes, but all cars finished the race in one piece. The Womps are pretty durable. Thanks you to those who brought snacks to share. These short sprint races allow plenty of time to do other activities and everyone goes home while there's daylight. Thank you again racers for your continued support. The Results:
Place/Name / Laps / Fast time
1. Racerbob 291 6.080
2. Steven 280 6.149

The first Odd Monday of December was chilly and cold outside, but the racing inside was hot and close. Every Odd Monday is bringing out new racers and racers from the past and it's keeping all of the racers on their toes. The atmosphere is light and the racing friendly. Thanks to Rob for opening up his track and providing hotdogs and chips for all to enjoy. The opening race fired off at 4:30 with the ever temperamental Womps. 8 racers took to the track for the standard 1 round, 3 minute heats and it was close..... Mike Guthrie won the tie breaker(total elapsed time). The 4 Inch Flexi's lined up with 9 racers for the feature race at 6pm. Bob N. took the win in a wicked fast contest. It was fast and furious. The final race featured the 1/32 Production cars and again the pace was fast and furious for these production cars and the racing again was very close. Bob N. took the win by just a few laps. Raceday at The Gorge Raceway: The GT Prototype cars took the track with 7 racers prepared for an afternoon of racing, fellowship and snacks. The "sprint" race formula is 2 rounds of racing and today the heats were 4 minutes long. Fresh off a Thursday night battle at Rapid Raceway, the racers were ready to go at it again. The first Odd Monday for the month of November proved to be question of how we got there and how we would get home. The evening was blustery and wet and everyone was thankful the power stayed on so we had lights and heat. 7 racers braved the cold and rain to spend time on Rob's fast and tight layout to race, eat hot dogs and chips. With a shortage of 1/32 production cars for the third race of the evening, it was decided to race the Womps first and complete the evening with the blazing quick 4 inch Flexi cars.
Bryan Trachsel roared his way back into local club racing scene with a bang. He picked up his first Weener Winner Point on the trophy, as did newer racer Bill Henry. Gerry and Kona returned as Gerry had some health challenges that kept him away from racing.....Welcome back guys. After a fun evening of racing, only one question remained.......how do we get home without a life raft.

This will be the last time Can Am will be raced within the Columbia River Slot Car Racers spere of racing classes. It is not on the current rules page because scratch-built chassis are not allowed. Can Am will be part of the NWTS only. The bodies used in Can Am within PASER (.010 thickness), will be utilized into the 4" Flexi group at a later date, so keep those bodies handy. Thanks for your understanding.

This edition of the annual “Dale Earnhardt Memorial” at Tom’s World Raceway will be remembered by all who attended. 15 racers came to test each one’s skill on the fast and technical track layout. It was a day of excellent side by side racing, spectacular crashes, (with a lot of flying parts and one flying car, mine), gear failures (more than anyone cared to count), an injured driver, happened before the race and great food provided by Susan. There was even a little controversy which was caused by human error. This race had it all.
The race started with qualifying, followed by setting the starting positions for the Xfinity group and the Cup group, the fastest group. The Xfinity class was supposed to run 4-minute heats, 4 times through but an error had racers going 3 times through. It was spotted too late to make a change, so the race was completed with 3 rotations. The cup race went off as planned with 4 rotations. The race had 8 racers in each event. The winner of the Xfinity race moved up to the Cup race to make 8 racers in that event. Thank you, Tom and Susan, for another successful race event.
Fast qualifier: Monster Mayea – 7.2774132
Xfinity race winner: Nikki Johnson 327 laps. (Stew Meat moved up to the Cup main: 336 laps)
Cup winner: Curtious Curt – 484 laps.
Best Appearing Car: #28 black/silver Monte Carlo.

Scheduling can be a challenging thing to navigate with this many tracks to race at, I am planning a track owners meeting sometime in June. I am waiting until Bill Bostic gets home. I will send out an email or text as soon as I can after I talk to Bill. It will be all 4 of us track owners to prevent scheduling races at the same time. I know you don't care about the OSCAR races, but those can impact the schedule too. Bob Hanna is has scheduled a special OSCAR race on September 27th at Sparetime Raceway in Roseburg. Looking forward to getting together and getting the schedule worked out.

It was a warm spring night for the PASER Monday race at Rob's Redline Raceway. A total of 8 racers spread out over 3 classes of cars provided a fun night of close racing. As racers get accustomed to Rob's tight but very fast track layout, the list has started to grow of contenders for the win. The lap totals are getting tighter and tighter together. There was some great side by side racing tonight. Thanks Rob for providing the venue, developing new friendships and providing great pizza and most importantly.......a fun time. First up were the increasingly fun and competitive Womps, followed the the blazing fast 4 inch Flexi's and the night completed with the Open Production class. 3 PASER Weener Winner points were up for grabs.
