Topic: Short Track Stockers 1/17/2026

The Short Track Stockers made their first trip to the racetrack at The Gorge Raceway. This is a new class that was added to round out the style of cars that race under the CRSCR banner. 10 racers blew in to compete and have some fun. It was windy outside, but it was calm and peaceful inside until the green flag flew. Their are a lot of unknowns anytime a new class is run and we found out these smaller, narrower but very peppy cars raced well together. Short track racing is known for some beating and banging during a race and these cars lived up to that premise. Loose parts, hard crashes and some great side by side racing highlighted the day. Mitch stopped in and provided corner marshaling during the event and we all appreciated the extra help. Overall this first race was a success and I look forward to running these cars again. In the end, home field advantage prevailed and NakNak, (Bob N. and track owner), came through with the win. A tie for second between Flyin Bryan and Bill H. was settled by lowest overall track time. All 10 racers completed the race and that is always a good outcome. Thank you racers for your continued support of local club racing.

Re: Short Track Stockers 1/17/2026

Looks like a fun time with a good turnout. I don't have a car for that class and couldn't make the race anyway as the wife and I went to celebrate two birthdays up in Washougal yesterday. If you are going to put these cars on the schedule to be raced at least a couple times a season, I will build one.
