OSCAR NASCAR - Tom's World Raceway 5/17/2025

This edition of the annual “Dale Earnhardt Memorial” at Tom’s World Raceway will be remembered by all who attended. 15 racers came to test each one’s skill on the fast and technical track layout. It was a day of excellent side by side racing, spectacular crashes, (with a lot of flying parts and one flying car, mine), gear failures (more than anyone cared to count), an injured driver, happened before the race and great food provided by Susan. There was even a little controversy which was caused by human error. This race had it all.
The race started with qualifying, followed by setting the starting positions for the Xfinity group and the Cup group, the fastest group. The Xfinity class was supposed to run 4-minute heats, 4 times through but an error had racers going 3 times through. It was spotted too late to make a change, so the race was completed with 3 rotations. The cup race went off as planned with 4 rotations. The race had 8 racers in each event. The winner of the Xfinity race moved up to the Cup race to make 8 racers in that event. Thank you, Tom and Susan, for another successful race event.

Xfinity race winner: Nikki Johnson 327 laps. (Stew Meat moved up to the Cup main: 336 laps)
Cup winner: Curtious Curt – 484 laps.
Best Appearing Car: #28 black/silver Monte Carlo.
