8 racers showed up to battle at Al's last night and the margins for the top spots seem to be getting closer all the time. Zack made an appearance and was ready to race after making a speedy trip home to trade out the power supply as the voltage drop issue showed up once again. Once the power supply was swapped it was time to race. First up was Classic LeMans which has always been closely contested and last night was no different. I was the early leader with Zack nipping me in the last heat by .3 followed by Greg. Doc had a fast car but his race was cut short by shall we say a marshalling misfortune.
Up next was RevoSlots for points. It was Doc finishing first, followed by Zack and Al in a crash filled race that couldn't end soon enough for anybody. Revo's always provide close racing and it would appear this may have led to some of the incidents as everyone was pushing hard.
Last up was Open class. Another close affair with some great side by side racing in multiple heats. This time it was me returning the favor and beating Zack by .3 with Al in third and Doc in fourth. Speaking of Doc I would like to thank him for the use of his backup controller as I showed up with out my controller networks and the loaners did not seem suitable or my controller may have an issue. This gentlemanly behavior is what makes racing with this group so enjoyable.
Race cars are neither beautiful nor ugly. They become beautiful when they win.
