Re: NASTE Odd Thursday Night Racing Rules & Current Thread

Opening  shots  have been fired. Al has drawn the Opening points race win. Wtg I had my chance to snatched the victory  but one off  and lost car under the over pass cost me the win. My loss Al's  gain... 1st battle goes to Al. Up next is Revo slot will be looking to take the fight back. See you all in 3 weeks

Re: NASTE Odd Thursday Night Racing Rules & Current Thread

Race report 11/7/24 race. 6 brave souls battled the Portland traffic to do battle on Al's Rippen riding raceway.
The racers that made the drive
Daniel "Doc'
Al "meat "
Rico "cheat".
Doug "the Destroyer"
Mitch   "the Mitch"
David the just
Up 1st was classic Lemans and Doc somehow took the win over Rico and Al 3rd.Up next was Revo slot, one off for Doc was all Al needed to take his Second in a roll points race Doc crossed the line 2nd, 3/4 lap back followed by Ricco. Next was open and we loss half the crew so track call were in order. It was a very very very close Batlle with all three cars battling side by side for multiple laps.  But Doc did the best job staying in the slot to take the win with Rico 2nd then Al.  Up next in two weeks is slot dtm and slot it/ Policar Classic. Can Doc or anybody knock Al off the top step or will he continue his dominant points run.......

Re: NASTE Odd Thursday Night Racing Rules & Current Thread

We had six racers show up for last Thursday's race, which ended up being a kind of an up and down affair. The ups and downs had to do with the track voltage which started fluctuating during practice while running some of the faster cars. The issue did not show itself while racing the low powered Classic Sportscars.  It was a close affair with Doc just nudging me out of first and Al a lap behind in third.  Next up was the points race for Classic Policar/Slot.it and the voltage issue showed back up with a vengeance causing cars to de-slot and crashes. Doc came out under the over pass and I hit him full bore causing a track call.  When the heat resumed my car developed issues which was a broken loose headlight assembly jamming against the front tire. At this point Al decided to restart the race after re-regulating the power supply which left me time to make repairs.  The race was restarted with no more voltage issues and Doc lead the charge followed by Al and Greg. Last up was Open class.  With only four racers left it was decided to do track calls with Mitch manning the computer. My car was really hooked up and flying.  I was able to put in three clean heats for the win with Al and Doc close behind.

Race cars are neither beautiful nor ugly. They become beautiful when they win.

Re: NASTE Odd Thursday Night Racing Rules & Current Thread

Hello all, I have been shopping for a couple cars for some of the new classes that are on the calendar.

I am eyeballing the C5R from revoslot for the revoslot class, it is not currently on the approved list per the rules. I am guessing however it would be permissible since it raced along side the Porsche and Vipers that are currently on the list.

I just want to check here before ordering!

Thanks!
Zack

Re: NASTE Odd Thursday Night Racing Rules & Current Thread

I’m pretty sure you’re ok since Doc already has one. I can’t remember if he’s actually raced it so I would wait until he clears it.

Re: NASTE Odd Thursday Night Racing Rules & Current Thread

Yes it legal maybe you have  better luck getting it to go fast. I put same set up as on the Viper  but 2 to 3 tenths slower
