We had 7 racers show up to Al's last Thursday. A big welcome back to Fernando who showed up with some well prepared cars and was definitely ready to race. First up was GT-3 and silly me brought my Scaley GT-3's but this was a race with the updated rule set and I borrowed one of Doc's finely tuned machines. Thanks again Doc. In a closely contested race it was Doc coming out on top followed by Al and myself.
Next up was the points race featuring Group C machines. Another very tight race saw Doc coming out on top with his always fast 962. Second place went to the silver streak Sauber piloted by me and third went to Greg in his Castrol Jag. Al had a disaster of a race and dropped a few points to Doc in the fight for the championship lead. Very uncharacteristic for him in any race.
Last up was the Open class dominated mostly by ThunderSlot cars, but Doc decided to go against the grain and race his F-1 open wheeler. He raced to his third win of the night followed by Fernando and Al in third. It was my turn to have a poor race. For some reason my car just didn't like the network I was using, a switch to another network helped but the damage was done.
Race cars are neither beautiful nor ugly. They become beautiful when they win.
