Directions would be good.

You're right Monte, I finally got around you with a non podded car. After my disastrous first heat I wasn't sure I would come out ahead of anybody.

Sure, I'll come. What do you want to race?

I had planned on going there after work, but I can't believe I've caught another cold. I guess that's part of these larger construction  projects, I interact with about 80 different people on a daily basis.

That's great news. Al and I were running some cars on Thursday and it tripped on us several times. I swear, they were ALL legal motors.

I was going thru some of the older sloppier cars the other day and using super glue on the bushings, what an improvement. I glanced at a couple of old Strombecker plastic chassis that were so loose it was a marvel that the axle didn't just fall out, so I thought, "why not". Wow what a difference, they run as smooth as a new car, well a new Strombecker car that is.

I had put a 21.5K motor in mine thinking I would set it up for our existing GT class since at the time we didn't have a class for it. But it was never smooth enough for that class. I've put the stock Scaley motor back into it, does it ever seem pedestrian but I suppose I'll get used to it. However there is a lot less chatter under acceleration, or should I say gradually increasing speed.

Well thanks for having us. It seemed that a good time was had by all.

I tried hard to catch them but my Pioneer motor was already giving all it had to give.

Don't worry Doc, all you have to do is come in first and the points will start going the other way. Nothing to it. From my end of the pack you all look the same, you look like tail lights.

I hope he hasn't got you DQ'd before you even get there.

I bet he would submit an Orange car and call it Yellowish.

Just leave a spot for my Soccer Mom car, I've finally got it turning some very good laps. If it was up to just Monte there would be NO yellow cars.

Yes the Scalextric GT3 cars do qualify for the GT class, but they will probably get spanked pretty hard by the Slot Its and the lone Fly car that runs in that class. They are fun looking cars and could probably benefit from their own class, but we might want to think about something similar speed/handling wise that could run with them. Not everybody might want to buy another car for another class. Just a thought. I already picked up a Scaley GT3 just because, well, I guess because I have no will power to resist.

Good luck guys. If you don't come out on top don't come home dejected, come home with stories.

RE: Over 50 class, you can't win by any smaller margin without losing.

Chris, I wouldn't expect anything else, it would just be so wrong. All kidding aside, they look great.

Over 50 might be fun on that track, after all that's what they were built for.

Doc, I think Howie's neighborhood association is watching you as a potential prowler because you keep cruising the neighborhood and never stopping.

The guy on the bike need a helmet cam to get footage of all the action, including bloopers.

I believe the restrooms were also closed because they emptied straight into the river. When I was a teenager there were still old concrete restrooms in Waterfront park in Portland they didn't flush, there was just a pipe leading out of the bottom, like a fancy outhouse. One morning a couple of friends and I were wandering around the park when one of them picked up an empty bottle and dropped it into the toilet tube a couple of seconds later we heard a splash, when we looked over the rail there was the bottle floating in the river. They were all removed soon after as part of the Willamette clean up program.

I'll probably be there. Our sixth grandchild is in the process of being born at the moment, so if I mention it to Chris it will fall on deaf ears. I don't really believe we have anything else scheduled that night.

Maybe we could cut a slot in the floor and build a chute. We could turn your garage into a giant vending machine. I'm just sure that Diane would love that.

MR Saager has one of those chassis. It will be interesting to see how they perform. BTW, that is how we mounted the bodies to our Drag Cars. The first cars I built for your track were mounted this way. It took me a while to figure out how to make body post.
