so don't miss it! tongue

I will have to miss it, it's Gabby's birthday so I will be having fun somewhere else.

Thanks to Bryan and Sherry for hosting on late notice and doing a superb job. I thought the timing system was fine especially for a first run with it. Despite my last place finish, I enjoyed myself immensely. I will try to arrive earlier in January so maybe I could a get a practice lap or two in.

Thanks again
Rico

What exactly are naste tires?  Bad, bad tires or the airplane tires from the 55's?

p.s. the cars are VERY cool!

Hey, it was only once and it was dark yikes

Mine is #6.

Oh, they'll work but I'd guess it's just a question of how well.

Good point, but any good 15 x 7 aftermarket wheel will still fit the Slot.it axle.

I agree Bill on the effort.  Unless you are trying to keep the stock wheels, buy a Slot.it axle kit which will include a gear, axle, bushings & wheels and they all fit together and work very well.

Been posted for some time.

I knew it was posted before but I could not find it with a search.  It should be somewhere where it is easily found.

I'll most likely stop at Winco and pick-up their chicken dinner special and of course a bag of RedVines.

John,

Glad to hear you are having fun and enjoying racing with us.  As far as help with angle winders, I'm not your guy as I have yet to figure them out myself.  Much of weight placement is common sense. The most important thing to get a figure out what is  causing the car to de-slot in the first place.  Is it tipping out of the slot, is the rear end sliding out or is the front washing out? Once you identify what the condition is and then you can figure out where to place the ballast.  Here is a chart that should be of some help:

I hope you find this helpful, I know I did.  Monte or Bill is there place we can post this to make it easy to find?

Regards
Rico

I'll second that notion, I had a great time as well.  I hope the racing with the vintage F1's turns out the same as well.

Looks like you all had lots of fun but it was absolutely beautiful at the coast all weekend.  Out on the beach with a bon fire wearing shorts and a windbreaker last night at 11:30. The rental house was great and best of all: no break downs on the way home.

Yee haw, my goal was to finish in the top ten and I did, just barely.  It was a fun road road trip and we certainly circumnavigated any trouble on I-5.  Thanks to our hosts up north for their gracious hospitality.

I'll second that motion as it applies to me as well!

Thanks Bill for another fun night o' racing.

Thanks Bill for a fantastico night of racing even though both my heats turned out should we say: eventful.  I was good to get the Scaley Lotus dialed in and the green one showed up today and I have already begun tuning to similar specs.

Naste Odd Thursday August 7

A rather small group of 7 racers showed up tonight at Autumn Hills but boy did we have some fun close racing.  We had plenty of food and snacks thanks to Kelly. The wraps were sensational.  We raced two classes and first up was the Classic Sports cars.
The racing was close with former track owner bringing up Maggie's drawers with his decidedly grip less tires on the Chaparral.
The Ninco Vette's of Goose Gossett and Chris Kouba tied for second place but nobody could catch Rico's scratch built Ferrari on it's home track.

Next up was the Naste Trans Am's.  We ran all the cars together but we did have two 2 liter cars that did battle with the big Detroit iron.  In a battle of the Alfa's: the schoolboy's GOM GTV bested Greg's GTA.  Victoria pushed her SCX 'Cuda to 6th while the always fast Goose could only manage fourth.  Mr. Tie aka Chris Kouba once again tied but this time with Glenn Heath in their well matched former BSCC Mustangs for second place. In the end, home track advantage once again prevailed with Rico winning with a Scaley Camaro.

Classic Sports Car Class:

1st   Rico Locati 30.6 laps
2nd  Goose Gossett 29.6
       Chris Kouba 29.6
4th  Greg Petrolati 28.7
5th  Glenn Heath 28.2
6th  Victoria Saager 27.1
7th  Monte Saager 25.6

Trans Am Class:

1st   Rico Locati 30.8
2nd  Glenn Heath 29.9
       Chris Kouba 29.9
4th  Goose Gossett 28.4
5th  Monte Saager  27.4  2 liter
6th  Victoria Saager 25.4
7th Greg Petrolati 25.3  2 liter
