They are pretty close to the originals to me

I picked up another vintage car today. It's a vintage Kal Kar Ready to Run car which according to the LA Slot Car Museum is a fairly rare car. The paint job is factory and definitely not the correct color for the 1:1 car but correct in this instance. It's in pretty decent condition with just a few cracks in the rear panel. The funky baby blue tires may be stock as well.
And the $20.00 price was certainly a bargain.

Rico Locati brought out his vintage Corvair for a few parade laps.
And it ran surprisingly well.

Da Goose certainly showed us the fast way around Too Bad last night but I was rather handicapped and even more disturbing he told me he dreams of beating the disabled (me) on a regular basis and that he wakes up happy. I think it's just plain wrong
That being said I had fun last night despite my condition, thank you Bill and Diane for hosting these regular races and to all those who brought snacks.

A big thank you to Monte and Victoria for their hospitality and generosity in hosting these 1st Sunday races. As per usual I ate way to much, thanks to all who contributed. I thoroughly enjoyed myself visiting and of course the racing too. Dominic had fun too and can't wait for the next time he can race.
Regards
Rico

Now if we could just get you to slow down a little.........
That's the only way he can keep up cuz he's old and retired or he could just cheat. Oh wait, that didn't work out so well either ![]()

And why shouldn't we be using vintage controllers? It seems a little silly to be using a controller that costs more than 10x the cost of the car when new.
I vote you to give it a try next time. Of course the rest of us won't be right behind you!

What a fantastic night of racing! Everybody is certainly bringing their "A" game and the racing is the better for it. Thank you Bill for hosting these events and bringing us all together. Once again, I'm sorry Goose for busting up the Chaparral, I feel really awful about it. I just didn't feel the rider and it happened so fast. ![]()
Already looking forward to the next race.

Great pic on the home page for this race. I look like I'm asleep on my feet and what is Bill getting ready to hit? And why do Goose and Dorothy think it's so funny? Victoria and Tyler seem oblivious to it all or they're super concentrated on the race.

I have that Barracuda kit and was making it into a Team Starfish slot car for Amelia but I never finished it. The body is pretty narrow and the Pioneer chassis I was using just was too wide especially in the rear with a sidewinder motor set up.

Monte and Victoria, thank you so much for the race yesterday, I had a blast on the new track. I believe it was the first time I actually liked racing digital rather than just enduring it. (pardon the pun) The Carrera set up is much easier to use for everyone except for maybe Goose
. I can't wait until you get all the details finished. Thanks to all that bought food/snacks unfortunately I managed to eat too much. I would like to thank my teammates for being awesome and a special round of applause for our outstanding team manager Todd.

My guess is that it will fit Falcon 7 type motors.

That looks less complicated, at least from here it does.
It's pretty similar to a Scholer in terms of design, and if it comes assembled that would be a bonus but at that price point I'm guessing kit form.
