Monte and Victoria, thank you so much for the race yesterday, I had a blast on the new track.  I believe it was the first time I actually liked racing digital rather than just enduring it. (pardon the pun)  The Carrera set up is much easier to use for everyone except for maybe Goose big_smile. I can't wait until you get all the details finished. Thanks to all that bought food/snacks unfortunately I managed to eat too much.  I would like to thank my teammates for being awesome and a special round of applause for our outstanding team manager Todd.

My guess is that it will fit Falcon 7 type motors.

I agree Mitch and the vintage 1/24 class looks to be a hoot.

R.I.P. Terry even though we never crossed paths.

That looks less complicated, at least from here it does.

It's pretty similar to a Scholer in terms of design, and if it comes assembled that would be a bonus but at that price point I'm guessing kit form.

I was able to cut, peel, scrape and gouge the old dried out tires off.  I oiled the motor and axle bushings, hit the power and the motor took right off so she's a runner.  I used a scuff pad and polished up the wheels and they cleaned up nicely.

Now, just waiting for the Paul Gage tires to arrive.

Here's my Garvic which was recently purchased on Ebay.  It took longer than I thought to get what I thought was a good deal.  These vintage cars seem to be real hot right now and the prices reflect that. I paid $35.00 including shipping but it did come with the original box and controller along with some vintage Revell axle spacers.

It is going to need rear tires and maybe some new braids but looks otherwise complete and original.  I may swap out the body for a Cobra or Corvette

I agree, really cool!

I had every intention of racing and had my box in the car along with Bill's heater despite a stressful trip to Walla Walla for the funeral coupled with alternator failure on the way home, but Dominic had a relapse of the flu early Thursday morning.  I got the first shift while Kelly was at work and then had to work late to try and catch up.  After all that, I decided to take the evening off.

Thank you to all that came out and raced, I hope you all had as much fun racing as I did hosting/racing.  All thanks goes to Kelly for the food and as usual she went over the top.  As per usual the Hills created racing that was very close and there were a few shall we say spirited battles.  The Ninco Mercedes performed flawlessly, if not a little loose and the Fickle Fiats never seem to disappoint. Well except in Dorothy's case, it seemed to run fine after the race, go figure.  We call them fickle for good reason.

Regards

I've got that old Champion with the 36D and Arco magnets.  It also has the Larry Cockerham weight plate and it still wheelies with the plate.  If I take it out, my guess is that it would be largely drivable.  If I read the rules right, I would need to remove it?

Thank you Howie host and to Chris for organizing this fun event, what a great day of racing.  We raced BRM Porsches but I think they are really made by Timex because they took a beating and kept on ticking.  I'm already looking forward to the next one.

Thanks again
Rico

Wow, what a fun night of racing last night!  There were lots of really close battles, some really great bench racing, too many goodies to eat, a fun time was had by all.  Thanks to Bill and Diane too. I would also like to thank Chris for letting me play with his awesome 1/24 toys, both the ScaleAuto 962 and the new BRM McLaren.  The BRM is so good it makes the high dollar price tag seem worth it.
