Results from the Spt. 5th race:
AL easy and should of won both those races. I had nothing for either classes during practice. But he folded like wet sack under the pressure.

Remember. There be racing in them dare basement today. Be there or be square.
Reminder back to back odd Thursday. See you next week.
Sorry to interrupt your normal schedule programing. With these urgent race report update......We had 7 racers battle the crappy portland traffic and make there way to Al's man cave to do battle. Up 1st was Trans Am and after Doc performed little magic and sprinkled Doug new car with some go fast dust. We were off racing. Doc was able hold off Doug for the win .Doug did have bragging rights for the fastest lap of the night. But a few offs cost him the win. Up next was DTM and Doc green machine was firing on all 8 and was glued to the track for the 2nd win of the night with Al crossing in 2nd a few laps back. Followed by David in Doc's back up Dtm. Last race was open and pull out the broom with Doc taking the last win of the night with Al coming in 2nd once again and Rico thrid.
Ok the weather getting hotter again and so is the racing. American pony cars are up 1st with the trans am cars followed by a little old world flavor DTM class. See you all at the track.
NOPE...Not peddling stuff at Odd Thursday Night races anymore.
Cars are here...photos provided. Next stop Ebay.

Roger. I'm not sure if Doug pays much attention to the site. But he been looking for cars for classes and that nico jag and those ta cars along with a fly LA man car he might be interested.
looks like someone need to come out on an odd Thursday and go home with some green in there pocket
Race report is that I forgot that there was a race night. Totally spaced it. Been a stress full couple of days at work and racing was not even in my thoughts. I will be there in two weeks .
Good Oregon drivers wanted? Well that rules me out.
So I have some experience with brushless from my rc days. When they 1st came out there was lots of teething issue and the price tag was a big struggle with racers. Slowly they worked out the issues and the price came down were it was affordable for racers. . Been following the slot car side and there still some teething issues still people are seeing problems with what controller work with the system and ones that don't. I'm going to wait and see were it goes but if it anything like they RC side it will be the way to go.
that deal has passed
there a ta car that would be a good runner for those who do not have one.
Thete be good deal on homeracingworld on some fly classic that would be perfect for the LA Mans class
nice.
"Well nothing written in stone . Rules can be updated or we can just ignore that........"
Good thing you go through the trouble to make rules!
yep
I know I’m a little late to the party but I too am curious about no independent front wheels. My better cars all have them. It costs almost nothing to convert cars with alloy wheels, so it can’t be cost.
Well nothing written in stone . Rules can be updated or we can just ignore that if someone shows up with a car set up that way.
Happy 4th all
Bill when u get a chance up date rules to include new gt3 class and replace in place of the current gt3 class. Thanks.
Are you adding master wood craftsman to your credentials?
That looks great! Even has the sticker.
Good thing he doesn't work in a union run bait shop. Be a master in that tade is not good.
The 1st summer race is in the books. Had 5 racers make it out to battle on Al's Rippen Riding raceway. Up 1st was the sports car one class. Doc drew the 1st win. Of the night with a newly built 250lm with a interesting gear set up that proved to be the way to go in 2nd was Mitch with a very quick Chappell and then Al in another 250lm. Up next was revo slot gt. And Mitch backed up is 2nd place run in sports car with a win in revoslot. Al once again found himself rolling across in third with Doc taken 2nd. Last race was open and Doc finished of the night with the Win followed by Al and Then Rico. Doug showed some good speed and car control by winning a few heats. Looked good leading and did not break under pressure. .going be a contender with a few more races has he comes to understanding how to get around the track fast. See you all in two weeks.
Summer racing, some are not.
Have fun ya'll!
not coming ? Can't take the heat? AL has ac in the man cave..
SUMMER racing is in the house. Let see who brings the heat..
I sure hope we keep the even Thursday. Maybe keep it to a couple of tracks one on each side of the river. Knock the classes down to 4 or 5
That way the racers have cars ready and built. My suggestion. 1 womp 2 flex. 3 trans am 4 sports man. 5. Nascar. I do believe most every body that were making out had a car that would work in each class. Yes some where faster than others. I'm working on that...
yeah, but we're not making a Sideways Class are we? We are including NSR, Scaleauto, 3D chassis for Scalextric, ect. Otherwise we may as well leave the GT3 class just the way it is and start racing Sideways cars against themselves..
sideways also make gt3 cars. The Lamborghini BMW and the Ford gt I had at the track are all sideways brand cars
I object to the no independent front wheels. That is a basic tuning practice going back to the 60s.
Painting the front tires with glue or nail polish makes it sound like we're racing matchbox cars.
OEM anglewinder is odd as many of the listed cars come with inline & siderwinder pods.
As for motors most of the 23K seem to be low on torque allowing the Black Stripe and 21.5K motors to compete.
Monte our aim in discussion wasn't really about speed but rather better handleing, increasing the "fun" factor. A Scalextric with a pod can run well with an NSR we've found.
all the sideways gt3 cars are factory-installed anglewinder pods
I have a comment/question.
1. All these rules to make the car faster yet no independent front wheels?
What is the reasoning here?
2. Which of the ScaleAuto cars have metal chassis if any?
Also, I added some bolding and white space to make the post a bit easier to digest.
Trying to keep metal chassis out out of the class. Ak revoslot thay have there own class We can change the independent rule if everything is on board .
