During the April 7th Odd Monday racing at Rob's Redline Raceway in Vancouver a proposal was submitted. The proposal was to add a NASTE 1/32 class of racing to the Odd Monday program. Testing of 1/32 production cars showed that Revoslot and NSR cars run very well on Rob's track! After running this idea past Al, owner of Rippin' Ridin' Raceway, I put together some very basic rules for the class. The rules can be read in the "Rules" section of the NASTE website under Class 14 - Open Production Class.
Highlights include: This is an Open Class for production plastic type chassis available from retail manufacturers. Scratchbuilt chassis, brass or plastic, are NOT allowed.
Potential cars brands include Revoslot, NSR, Thunderslot, Slot.it, etc.
Cars may be modified but must retain the original complete interior.
The original chassis must be used.
Motor is open. (Rob's Redline Raceway is a FAST track! Higher RPM motors than those supplied in the production cars may be suitable i.e 30K + ?).
This new class is a starting point for a proposed addition to the NASTE program, adding races at Rob's Redline Raceway in Vancouver. These basic rules may be modified or added to suite the Odd Monday racing program. The Odd Monday racing program was developed to give a variety of racers an opportunity to race on days other than Saturdays. The early start allows retired guys to attend without fighting traffic, and having a later start for additional races allows racers that still have jobs to attend.
The first experimental race for this proposal will be held at Rob's next race on Monday April 21st.
Doors Open with Open Track at 2:00PM. The First Races start at 3:00PM, Womp Class, Flexi Class, and this new Open Production Class will be included in the day's racing.
Pizza Dinner is served at 5:00PM!
The second round of racing starts at 6:00PM to allow working racers to attend. Again, this is an experiment in an effort to enhance the racing at both Rob's Redline Raceway and Al's Rippin' Ridin' Raceway!
So there it is, let's hear your rebuttles and sugestions!
