Topic: 4 Inch Flexi's 2/22/2025

What a day for racing 4 Inch Flexi cars at The Gorge Raceway. Thank you for coming out and supporting our local club tracks. Without you, we would not and could not have 1/24 scale racing here in the Portland / Vancouver area. 9 racers came to test their skills and have snacks, pizza, refreshments and most important, a fun time. Gerry had to leave early and Jim, who came to observe, stepped up and ran the 3rd round with his own Flexi car and did a great job.. Thanks Jim. Looking forward to having you race with the group again. As always, The Gorge Raceway presents it's own set of challenges. Many of these racers are getting faster and faster, so the competition gets closer and closer. The race program consisted of 3 rounds of racing with 3.5 minute heats. Each racer had 42 minutes of driving time. Plaques were awarded for places 1-3.
The final Results show who's climbing up the finishing order, you know who you are, and either made the podium, or right on the brink.
The final results:
Name / Laps
Racerbob 490.4
Bad Billy 471.8
Rico (Chet) 451.7
Mike Guthrie 437.8
Al (Meat) 415.1
Bartman 402.2
Bill Henry 396.0
Jordan B. 358.8
Gerry / Jim 343.3

Thanks Bob, it was fantastic to be able to actually race head to head with you and not watch you blow by and disappear. Iā€™m giving credit to the new controller, a much different feel for sure. But in the end you usually prevail and you did. The best part of the day was making it back out to my car without falling. Hopefully Bill was able to as well.

Race cars are neither beautiful nor ugly. They become beautiful when they win.

Great race Bob, thanks!

I got a few pictures:

They race just as tight and close as they appear here!
