The schedule above has been updated with classes for each date. Each class is raced 3 times during the 2026 season. This schedule is not in stone yet. I am combining the Early Sportsman and Late Sportsman into one class called simply Sportsman. I have not gone over the rules for that class yet.......stay tuned.               See ya, Howie.

Bob, the schedule is not in stone yet. You are right, May is too busy for me too! I just don't like the True Scale classes to sit around and collect dust. So, I am trying to race each class 3 times and I only have one track to figure it out. I am still working on it, and I may have to go into the first part of June. Stay tuned.............................it isn't over yet! Ok, I took May 28th. off the schedule, I had a question mark on that date anyway on my notes at home. Back to the drawing board! Also, I am thinking on combining the Early Sportsman and Late Sportsman and naming it just Sportsman. That way I believe I can race each class 3 times next season.

I have updated the tentative schedule for the 2026 season that is posted above. Trying to get done with the season before June.

I am planning on combining the Late Modified class and the Early Modified into one class called Modified for the 2026 season and beyond. I am adding some new rules (nothing major). Your Modified car from last season will more than likely be good for the next season and beyond. Bill and I are going to have a test day during the off season and try to come up with a plan for a narrower Hanna chassis to compete with the wider Hanna chassis without a major change................stay tuned..........Howie.

I also plan on racing each of 11 True Scale classes at least 3 times per year so the cars will not sit around collecting dust!

............Howie.

As of the start of the 2025 season, the 962 Columbia Gorge Championship is no longer. As this was a race event at all the tracks in the area, it was voted out. The 962 will remain a fixture at Northwest True Scale (Rapid Raceway). I am planning on a series of races for the 962 with points for the 2026 season.................................Howie.

Northwest True Scale has 11 classes as it stands now, and I am not going to add any more. I have tentatively combined (not in stone yet) the Early Modifieds and Late Modifieds into one class called simply: Modifieds. I may have to have two classes run on a Thursday Thunder night, two times through for each class but shorter heats depending on the turnout. I am trying to schedule the classes for the 2026 season so that each class is raced at least three times, not as easy as it sounds!

Tentative schedule for Rapid Raceway (NWTS) for the 2026 season. This is not in stone, can be changed before the actual season starts. Classes haven't been picked yet except the first and last race of the season.

**Sept. 6------------------------Rapid 500 featuring the NASCAR. First race for the 2026 season. 4 times through, 4 minute heats.
    Sept. 18 Thursday-----------NASTRUCK
    Oct. 4-------------------------Can-Am and LeMans.
    Oct. 16 Thursday-------------Indy
    Nov. 1 ------------------------Sportsman and Slammer-
    Nov. 20 Thursday-------------962
**Dec. 6-------------------------Modified and Trans-Am
    Dec. 18 Thursday-------------Slammer and NASCAR
    Jan. 3--------------------------LeMans and Can-Am
    Jan. 22 Thursday-------------Indy and Sportsman
    Feb. 7--------------------------Indy and NASTRUCK
    Feb, 26 Thursday-------------LeMans and Trans-Am
**Mar. 7--------------------------NASTRUCK and Sportsman
    Mar. 18 Thursday-------------962
    Apr. 11-------------------------Slammer and Indy
    Apr. 16 Thursday-------------962 and Modified
    May. 2-------------------------Can-Am and NASTRUCK
    May 14 Thursday-------------Modified and NASCAR
**May 30--Rapid Grand Prix----Indy--------------Last race of the season. 4 times through at 4 minute heats.

** means a Trophy race.

True Scale has 10 classes. Indy and Modified will be raced 4 times and the rest of the classes will be raced 3 times.

This schedule is pretty much in stone, however, changes could take place if necessary.

It was a fun day. Here are a few pics. from that day.

After the great turnout for the Indy cars (18 racers) for the Thursday Thunder race (April 12, '25) I better re-think the plans for the Indy cars. Indy class is way too popular to only race once in the 2026 season. Stay tuned!....................Howie.

Results of the Thursday Thunder race held on April 10, '25. Because of the turnout of 18 racers, Bill set the computer to run 2 times through at 3 minute heats instead of 4 minutes. Thanks Bill. The race started at 6pm and ended at 10:15pm. Ian is the youngest (age 6) to enter an official race. He did well. Unfortunately, he didn't have a legal car.

I am currently thinking about the 2026 season for the Northwest True Scale schedule. The last race of the season is the Rapid Grand Prix featuring the Indy cars. I am trying to race each class 3 times during the season.. I haven't done a schedule yet, but the classes to be run next season more than once will be Early Sportsman, Early Modified, 962, NASTRUCK, Trans-Am. These classes will be run through the season. I am planning on a 962 series of maybe 5 races or so with points and plaques through 4th. place. I am still planning to do Thursday Thunder races, and of course a few trophy races along with the first Saturday of each month.

If you have a suggestion for Northwest True Scale racing, please let me know.

Added on March 4, 25: I am thinking about having a couple races on Thursday Thunder days to be voted on for what class is to be raced.

Fun times yesterday, thanks Bill. BTW: the Peak Pontiac's chassis is designed with an inline motor as per PASER rules. I am going to design and build a new chassis for the next PASER NASCAR race....................yes it will have the big wheels!!! I like Checkered Flag Raceway; it has a good flow to it and plenty of action and the racers were a fun group to race with. Looking forward to the next race at Checkered Flag.

Thanks for your expert help, Bill. It was a fun day and yes, we are getting a lot more interest lately in slot car racing and I am REALLY liking that!! I will have another chassis session as soon as time allows.
