This is the way the votes went for what we will run for the first half of the 2020 racing season:

1.....Late model Sportsman, years '59 to '72 full size American iron will run for points.

2.....TA2 ( late model Mustang, Camaro, Challenger ) as backup.

Here is the way the voting went:

1....Late model Sportsman and TA2 were tied with 5 votes each, a coin was tossed, Sportsman won.

2....Early Sportsman 3 votes.

3....962 and NASCAR 2 votes each.

4....Can-Am, Indy car, Early Modified 1 vote each.

5....NASTRUCK, 0 votes.

Fellow racers; I got word from John Gill that Eagle Distributing did not let Bob Nakumura take over the parts. In fact Eagle stopped John also! So we can get together at this Saturday's race and decide what to do. We will no longer get to buy at dealers cost but we can order parts like tires, gears etc. as a group and perhaps save on shipping and have them here in stock. Something to think about.

Fellow racers; I would like to announce that Bob Nakamura is taking over the parts department that John Gill ran for years. Bob will be bringing parts to the races at Rapid as he attends the races. I believe this will work out well. Thanks to John for the parts department that he set up and has supplied the parts for us all these yrs.

Fellow racers; due to the fact that my weather forecast for Sat. the 9th. of Feb. shows nothing but snow, snow and more snow, I have decided that it is better to be safe than sorry so I have decided to cancel the race for that day. We will see whether that forecast comes true or not!

I will try to make up the race before the season runs out.

The above statement by Dennis is incorrect. I just got off the phone with Ted discussing this issue. Ted said he does not take these motors apart and time them, it would be way too hard to take it apart and figure out how to time it and get it back together ( I agree ). Ted said he thought Dennis was listening to a conversation that Ted was having with another racer about a different motor all together. I know for a fact that even though motors are designed, put together at the factory the same way as the next motor etc. one is going to be a little better. Any way I just wanted to clarify the issue so as no one suspects Ted of cheating. In fact Ted got the motor from Bad Bob's Can-Am!
