Due to scheduling issues, holidays, and conflicting race schedules the next Odd Thursday Night Race at TooBad Motorplex will be held on Thursday November 20th. Please mark your calendars!

P.S. Yes, I realize that is not an odd date..................

Man, did we have snacks or what????!!!!!!

AND we ate 'em ALL!!!!!!!!!

List updated from October 23rd, '14 race.

Odd Thursday - October 23rd.

At this Odd Thursday we ran the 13th and final round of the 2014 IPS Proxy. We had 15 drivers in attendance with 23 cars entered. We ran two rounds of 2 minute heats. Cars were raced in random order, and drivers were placed on teams of three (one for each lane), and the driver teams were rotated as well. All the drivers had at least 20 minutes of racing time with various cars. The results are posted on the Slot Cars illustrated website under the IPS Proxy info.

After the IPS Proxy race concluded, we raced one round of three minute heats for the BRM Porsches. As usual, it was a barn burner! The Goose was the only one to make it out of the barn alive and took the win!

BRM Porsche results:
1st Goose Gossett 58.5 laps
2nd Rico Locati 56.9
3rd Chris Kouba 56.7
4th Bill Bostic 53.8
5th John Kouba 50.3

Who could ask for anything more????

Thanks Bryan!!!!

That is a very good point!!! You need tires good enough to keep you up in the bank!!

I think your silicons will do the job!!!

YES, I've got the silverware/plasticware and paper plates!  ==========Bill

I would run them Tracy. I think they will work fine. If anything you might get too much bite and they won't slide at all.

Anyway, that's been my experience with silicons on Howie's track. Mitch had some on his car and it hooked up pretty well.

Hey John, You need to be there at the next Odd Thursday. We will be racing the Proxy cars and it will give you an opportunity to see what other racers from all over the world are doing to their cars, plus be able to run them and see how they perform!!!

Ohhhhhhhh, things are looking good for another outrageous NASTE Halloween race!!!!!

Great photos Dorothy!  All of them prove there is good reason you are our Official Photographer!!!!

OK, who's bringin' what????

Thanks for the reminder about the pot luck Dorothy!  I had already spaced it!!!!

Tonight I did a little research and review. It looks like the Carrera Grand Sport Corvettes were actually a little slower around TooBad than the NASTE '55 Chevys. When we ran the '55 Chevys at TooBad last season, most of the racers ran 2 to 4 more laps with the '55 Chevys than they ran with the Grand Sport Corvettes. Interesting..........

Tonight's race at Penguin Point was a lot of fun! Everyone seemed to have a really good time!

Thank you Monte & Victoria for hosting another excellent NASTE event!

Thanks Dorothy for all the treats!!!
