I left out the craziest part, the axe head was loose and flew off nailing one of them in the head.

They did it while the parents were on vacation and they were home alone, thank God it wasn't a serious blow. I am quite certain it didn't knock any sense into him. We later found out they were driving it around Beaverton and the forward gears in the trans went out so they tried to drive it home in reverse all the way to 198th in Aloha. Real Einsteins....

I heard this today so thought I should pass it along. Terry Carter, a local slot car fan and collector, passed away this week. He had been doing poorly for some time and gave up when they started hospice care. I will miss his knowledge and humor.

Sorry to hear that.. I know I have mentioned him just not that long ago... it has been several years since I have seen him as we use to meet at a few racetracks to run our HO cars.... he will be missed....

I saw last night that the Salem Track (Edgewater) is listed in Portland's Craigslist for $3,000. Shame it was a nice track, I hope it finds a home.

The Barracuda is a totally mint, unbuilt kit. My original thought was a Trans Am car. However after opening the box I'm not so sure now. Haven't tested the Ray yet, but the chassis looks mint. It has a Ruskit gold motor, and it obviously has not been run much.
