I am fine with any rule that is consisntently enforced. I am going to bevel my pans today as well !

I am aware of that. Both of my nascars have pans that go forward of the front wheels, as i think most do.

I do not believe mine ever touch, i am simply pointing out that teching this will be extremely difficult.

Just to add some to this. The nascars we all ran last weekend have suspension on the front.

They can easily be compressed by hand until the chassis touches in front. This does NOT mean they touch the track.

In my opionion measuring whether or not this happens is going to be difficult to do on a tech block or something similar. Some paint or something on the leading edge of the chassis could be an indicator, but again that means it would have to touch to know.

I agree 100% that cars should not be dragging the track, just pointing out that every nascar we ran at the last race can easily be pushed down to touch by hand easily.

****edit**** playing with my cars, the suspension only compresses to guide height, but it is still significantly lower than the mandated .055 clearance that i ensure all my cars have!

Tom, Both of these sold to club members. I probably should have marked it!

I will see what else I have! Get your buddy out racing!

Thanks Zach! You are correct. This is Tom. I decided to ask some of my dumb questions on the forum here so maybe it could help other new folks.

Sounds like a plan, welcome to the board. You fill find lots of information here, sometimes you have to dig!

Please forgive me if this is a newby question.... I see that the start time is noon (which I assume is race time), but what time does the track open for test/tune this Saturday?

Doors open at noon, we will be racing around 2 or so would be my guess. That way we can run some laps and clean up the track/practice! Assuming this is Tom, we hope to see you!

Very cool designs. The flexi car he loaned me was also amazing, if only I could drive it properly!

Thanks for getting it on the calendar Bill!

Great racing last night. I did terribly in Policar, but made up for it when it counts!

The open race for me was the most fun, We had some close car. Al and Rico locked into a heat long battle....with the final result being this:

My second Hanna car coming together. I am prepping it for the race at Bill's this weekend. The chassis design is superior to my other car in a few different ways. Mainly the alignment of the pans is much better controlled, and the front axles are done much nicer.

I put a .560 arm outlaw motor in the first car, hoping this will be enough to keep up with the big dogs. The second car has a standard .518 arm blueprinted motor from Proslot.

Broke in a new gear on it last night, this one will be piloted by MR. Al for the weekend!

All loaded down for the first race. New drawer liners installed.

14 cars, a controller, tools, spares, chemicals all in one box!

Going to stain it after this coming weekends races. Having a hard time deciding what to do!

If you are spraying the track those poor old motors would probably overheat.....

Bill, he built me this box for $130 bucks. I am sure he would do one for you for the same price. He is mostly a hobbyist who just enjoys turning out cool stuff!
