No energy drinks that I saw, just a lusty, busty, intoxicating combination of adrenaline, excitement and some sleep.

Why the difference in points? Heats led? Concours? Brown-nosing Alan?

Hahahaha...

That last point almost came to fruition when Alan announced prior to the LAST HEAT that there would be a clearance check after the race.  A minor brouhaha nearly erupted and it was decided that all affected cars - well, all cars except for one - would need to get their tires replaced - on a schedule - during the heat.  Wait to be called and then sprint to the pit room.  Operators are standing by...

Despite all this Chris stayed strong and held off the team behind us securing our points position in the final heat of the last 8 hour saga.

The points...  were based on your finish position in each of the three 8 hour segments.  Teams selected their cars for the first and third segments - Mini Cooper or Simca - but the Opel Kadett was chosen to rule the night - go figure...

I saw things.  I saw some serious driving.  Some of it was great and some of it was, well, enthusiastic.  I saw Zack, Chris and Ray appear to defy the possible limits of adhesion at times.  I saw the track marshal working next to me fall asleep.  You gotta have more than two people on your team.  I saw old friends and made a few new ones.  And I had one heat like the big boys where the laps flowed and the other cars fell behind.

I'd rate it a good experience.  A couple of more team mates and everyone could get some sleep.  It makes a difference.  Oh, and a sprinter, we need a sprinter.  One that can do hurdles.

And in conclusion I believe the team ran the second most laps in total but the scoring was by points for a change - of course...

The Oregon Donors - Chris, Zack, Ray, Tony and myself finished third.

Podium,  baby!

Yup, sounds good, thanks.  I may have plugs as well, I'll check.

I talked with Stan yesterday and he won;t be making the event this year, he's had some issue arise that will keep him at home.

See ya'll Saturday morning if not before.

Zack, plugs sound like a good idea, I'm interested.

I use my razor for cleaning up the back sides of BOSA tires.  Works great.

Truing - I'd use my Hudy.

Oh you sneaky proxy guys...  Best of luck to you.

Always make your cars unique, er, Yunick, yes, Smokey Yunick.

Always a great time at Stans.  I enjoyed the food, the company, the cars, even the mysterious deslotters.  I know I could get more laps out of them with one more run.  Their quirks have been exposed.

All of the DTM cars for the proxy should have no issues, if so, it's the last round and they can be shortened as needed.

I got it.  Those that are coming, bring a controller if you have one of the DS units.

I can arrange cars.  Perhaps Bill has some ideas?

I can arrange cars.

We're still in line with the Tacoma boys to make a team.  What are you hearing from Alan?

Looks great!

In the future, I'd like to see us move away from the alleged "black stripe" toward something that is available as a new part online.  The different versions that you run across in the cars are occasionally just that, different.

I find those blue motors rather refreshing and reasonably priced.  We should consider a large bulk buy.

Comments gladly accepted.

I think they've probably got a few other cars that might qualify.  I think Bill has the complete Spirit collection, Bill?

And Chris, can we update the rules for the class to include the Spirit cars?

Zack, what tires were you running?

I didn't even notice but if that's the Spirit Ferrari, we'll need to change the rules:

Any Le Mans competitors modeled by Fly, Scalextric, Monogram, Revell, or Ninco which ran in the 1971 event or prior are eligible for competition.

Bring her along, we'll let her race.

Congratulations.

How did you find David?

And I was sure those green axles were going to be the winning ticket.  I need to find a guy with axles...

Oh Billy!

Another one for the collection.  KB Chaparral.

It may not prove to be the best racer but, well, Chaparral!

We're gonna lose our R rating.

But, but, but...  it's yellow.  Will no one terrorize me with a yellow car faster than mine?

And an Alfa no less.
