I've been struggling with no racing going on so I went to PHOSAR's Oregon City race last Saturday. I wasn't sure if I would like the HO cars since you can't see them drift the way that you can a larger car, but it turned out to be fun. They hold a Trans-Am race and then 2 novice races at each event to help people like me try it out. The cars and the controllers are supplied by the club so your first few times are free. It was a fun group of guys and they were very helpful. I would recommend anyone who is itching to race to give it a try. The cars they race are not very expensive and they all used the club controllers so the cash outlay is very cheap (or maybe they are just luring me in the way you guys did) Lol. They are only racing once a month right now, but I plan to attend when possible for some much needed trigger time!

Thanks  to Bob for hosting another great race! Also, thanks to everyone for helping all the new folks such as myself. The scratch built cars are intimidating/confusing without direction and you guys make it as easy as possible to get into. I see now that it is important to bring as many extra parts/pieces as possible to keep everyone's cars running (not just my own). Like Zack said, "Just finishing the race is an accomplishment"!

I hope everyone is doing well! I have fallen out of the groove since all the racing was cancelled. I am excited to see that there is a Classic Nascar race coming up next month (Zach told me about it)! I am thinking of trying to build a chassis for it. I thought I had seen some blueprints with dimensions and notes on building this chassis somewhere, but I cannot locate it now. Does anybody have something like that to help me build the Sportsman chassis?

On a more serious note...I do think it is a concern for those who have a weakened immune system. I will go race if it is open, but would totally understand if it was cancelled. As long as I get 30 series points because I was willing to race :-) Lol

That was a lot of fun. I like how close of competition it is. And at a speed that I can almost keep track of which car is mine. Greg hit the nail on the head when he said.....”The DTM cars are slow but they got a lot of momentum”. I think I’ll go add a bunch of lead to my LMP car!

You could get the DD304 with upgraded heatsink and 5 ohm brake for $266. It is the same as DD281 except 3 ohm brake
