Fantastic Halloween race last night! Lots of fun, good food, great friends, and AWESOME Halloween cars!
Thanks to Howie for allowing us to hold our 21st annual NASTE Halloween Race at Rapid Raceway!!!
yes excellent night of fun for sure!! Thanks Howie for letting us use your track.. sorry you were not able to run with us..I think we should post every three months on naste that the Halloween race is coming up... Lol so everyone will be prepaired for next year...
Thank you Howie for allowing us to run again on your wonderfully fun track!!! I always like racing there.
Great job on the costumed cars people! Such imaginations. I didn't get a couple of the cars, so am hoping Bill or someone else did. I even forgot my own, but I took one a few minutes ago in the garage.
Nice to see all of you there and great chatting with you. Glad you dressed up a bit for us Sherry!!
Thanks for all of the good food too! YUM! Had been wanting chips for a while Tracy!
Here are the photos I took last night. Watched the videos I took and I got the car flying off the track and a few unexpected lane changes and crashes. I'll get them put together eventually. My night videos are just as dark as usual.
Here's some photos I took of some of the Halloween cars. Unfortunately I didn't get them all either.
This was Bryan Trachsel's entry. VERY tricky to turn marshal!!! For that matter, tricky to turn marshal ANY car when he was on the track........especially in the dark! Fortunately no injurries were reported!
Sherry Trachsel's car was one of a very few that could keep pace with Bryan!
Dorothy Abbott's duck boat featured lights that lit up the whole front of the boat. AWESOME entry!
Monte Saager's Bat Asp was a classic (no pun intended) favorite!
Victoria Saager's prehistoric creature never did let go of that poor penguin.......
Terry Abbott's entry suffered from some traction issues and never did ketchup.............I know..........I know..........
Bea Frazier's entry had everyone asking what is in the coffin?
We know it was green. Whatever it was it felt its way around the track quite well!
And... here's the results:
1. Bryan - 222 laps
2. Monte - 193
3. Beau - 187
4. Rico - 174
5. Bill - 169
6. Sherry - 159
7. Tracy - 155
8. Victoria - 148
8. Dominic - 148
10. Dorothy - 118
11. Terry - 114
12. Brent - 56
13. - Thomas - 54
And this combined with the Digital Enduro concludes the non-scoring portion of the 2016-17 NASTE Social Series. Join us on Saturday, November 12th at Al's Rippin' Ridin' Raceway for the first scored event of our IROC series.
Thanks to Howie for hosting us again. I had a wonderful time driving the Bat-Asp around the track. It seemed to go real well for one of those 50 year old cars.
We were all under the impression that Bryan had won the event but the results clearly show that Sherry won with a whopping total of 259 or perhaps we have a typo? Thanks to Howie for opening the doors and letting us race. Dominic and I had fun racing, visiting and checking out all the spooky rides.
Rico
In addition to Sherry OBVIOUSLY kicking Bryans butt, had Beau ran all 12 heat races he would have been right on Bryan's heels as well! We should have probably screwed Bryan out of one heat instead of Beau!
Monte, that Bat-Asp was definitely Bad-Ass!!!
November 12th? Isn't that the 24 hour race in Tacoma?
Yup. No schedule is ever perfect.
Who is going to be in town for the NASTE race at Al's?
We will be there.
