Re: NASTE Odd Thursday Night Racing Rules & Current Thread
Thanks to all that came over to race. It was a fun night. Nice pics Chris. Over 50s are often blurry to me, not sure what direction they're going.

Dan, Slot it axles and gears will fit your pioneer Camaro
You can get the axle and gear, you can look at CB design wheels and see if there is something you like, I have used several patterns and the quality has always been excellent, or you can do has Bill has, he used plain insert style wheels and ground down the stock wheels and made inserts out of them, they looked great and original.
Yes. For the T/A class you are limited to 8mm wide tires and approximate stock wheel size.
Per rules:
"- Any wheels may be used.
- Any tires may be used, but must not exceed 8mm in tread width/contact patch, and must remain true to scale for Trans Am cars."
June 9th 2016 Odd Thursday -
We han an enthusiastic crowd of 19 racers last night, and we raced our butts off! We started the night with the Classic Sports Car Class in which John Fisher finished first. Monte Saager was second overall, and first in division I racing a Ninco AC Cobra! The racing was so close the top eleven were within four laps of each other! After the classic sports cars we raced the F1 Class. This class is also very competitive , especially considering the class is broken into multiple divisions. Six of the divisions were represented last night. Glenn Heath scored the win with a Modern Division Scalextric A1GP. This win puts Glenn on the Winner's List! Congrats Glenn!
With so many racers the first two races were not over until 10:00pm. But that did not stop 10 racers from sticking around to race the BRM Porsche 962s. The action in this class is fierce! Racing these 1/24 BRM Porsches on the tight TooBad course is exciting to say the least! Can you say "bump pass"? If you can't, you better learn! Rico Locati barely squeaked out the win over Goose by just 1/10th of a lap. Last but not least, those of us that could still stand put our Over 50 Class cars on the track. Gary Gossett showed us how it's done by beating us with his Cox Dino Ferrari.
A big thanks to all that were able to make it out to race! I know the traffic was terrible last night, and I really appreciate the effort you all put out just to get here!

Thanks for hosting Bill, what a great night of racing with lots of old and new faces and some great, close battles. That side by side stretch Chris and I had in F1 was awesome. Open wheels, millimeters apart, good stuff. The BRM race was more like it- banging, nerfing and crashing after the past several more gentleman like Thursday night events. I still can't believe I managed to triumph in the carnage. How often does your car end up on the floor and you still win? Too fun.
Here's some pics from last night:
Mitch's CalifOregon Sportsman.
Glenn's '57 Chevy on a scratchbuilt chassis.
Greenman was out with some beautiful creations!
What a great time. Always good to get together to play with the cars. Thanks to Bill for providing us a wonderful place to play.

Bill: Thank you for providing a great venue of racing for us to have so much fun. Lots of close finishes.
As always, a great evening of racing. Some spirited competition in the Classic class, with a bunch of us nearly equal. Thanks, Bill, for a terrific night!
Dan, you're most welcome. The BRM can use the magnet.
Thanks for the reminder Dan. Web page needs updating. I'll get on it!
It's at Al's this week, if my memory serves me correctly. I am pretty sure I'll be showing up there at least....
What are the classes Bill?

Sure thing Dan, that would be great! If you want you can just bring it to the next race at my place. Either way is fine, whichever works best for you.
Thanks! ======Bill
I will probably bring the Jeep. Let me know if you are going to bring the brake drum so I can leave my rear seat at home to make room for the drum!
Cool! Thanks Dan!
