I had a couple more thoughts on these rules. Just seeking input on whether or not we need to add clarification.
Track width. Seems to me that adding spacers should be legal on these cars. The DTM cars especially look terrible and would likely improve on performance with some spacers. This is a very low cost and easy to do upgrade. Also, anglewinder type cars will have this built in.
The second is tape, I know taping the screws is needed to but adding tape to the pod as a tuning tool seems like something that would be worthwhile and cheap.
just a couple things to think about.
Zack
I see no issues with that we can add line for basic tuning.
Racing was a bust. Not enough guys to race so it was test a tune kind of night. Try again in two weeks..

I had a family thing in Salem I didn't know about till the last moment.
Nobody tells me anything.
A big THANKS to Al for opening the track to us despite his situation.
I hope we got everything shut down properly.

That's what she said.
Race results from December 29th 2022
The NASTE racers started out the new year in style at Al Christensen's Rippin' Ridin' Raceway in Portland! The racing was crazy close and these guys are FAST! Thank you Al for providing a fantastic racing facility, track, and atmosphere!
Here are the race results for the night:
I would like some clarification on what cars are legal for a few of the new classes:
1) Slot.it/Policar Classic- I spoke with Doc last night about whether the Policar Ferrari 330p4/412P was legal and he said it was on the list but the Policar listed is actually a BRM F1 car (Policar PCAR06A)
2) Slot.it DTM- The list of cars has the Mercedes 190E but not the C-Class. The lastest releases from Slot.it are called C-Class and not 190E. See the yellow ProMarket (CA53a) car and the upcoming white Warsteiner car (CA54a). The original 190 releases are getting harder and more expensive to find. The only silver release (CA44c) I can find is on Ebay for $90.00 plus shipping. Are we going to include these cars?
Rico aka Chet
That is one of the drawbacks of having a list of specific cars legal for any class. Especially when it comes to these 1/32 RTR cars where new cars are released multiple times per year! It is a nightmare to try and keep the list updated!

if it a slot it dtm car it is legal. Not counting rivets. I must of copy and pasted the wrong car. But the 330p4/412p is legal. Will have to have Bill edit the rule post
Thanks Doc. I figured as much, but just wanted to be sure so as to avoid potential issue in the future
Had a great time racing last night.
Thanks to Bill and John for coming out and helping us fill the field and have sufficient marshals. It made a big difference!
Bill's Lancia was FAST!

I guess maybe you didn't catch what I was pitching.........I really don't want to have to update the "eligible cars" list everytime a new car comes out.
I would suggest a modification to the rules:
Where the current rule reads:
"eligible cars:
Alfa Romeo 155 V6 Ti
Mercedes 190E
Nissan Skyline GT-R
Opel Calibra"
I would suggest modifying the rule to read:
"Eligible cars include, but are not limited to the following Slot.it DTM cars:
Alfa Romeo 155 V6 Ti
Mercedes 190E
Nissan Skyline GT-R
Opel Calibra"
Same goes for the Class 9 -Slot It/Policar Classic Class. I think it is better to give some examples of legal cars versus defining which cars are actually legal, thus creating and endlessly changing list.
My 2 cents ========Bill
ok
Rules edited.
It was a great night of racing had new face show up to do battle and a old face that not been out to race for some time but still as fast as always.
up 1st was a class change. gt3 os what on the list but we a had bunch of guys that failed to read the schedule at left the gt3 cars at home so a quick count of cars and it was set that these would be the 1st race for the revo slot class. it was good showing and everybody seemed to enjoy the cars doc to the win followed by al and then rico. next was the pge class. Chris took the win with elbows out Al followed by Doc half a lap back. Last race of the night was open, and Doc came screaming back from the let down in pge and smoked the field with a new track record of 85.9 that was it for the night and it was test tune for those that stuck around after the last race.
It was a good night. 8 racers. It was great to see Chris Kouba again and welcome to Elliot a new/guest racer, we hope to see you again.
Yes Elliot pick up the track pretty quickly. The hook is set nice a deep.he never getting out of these rabbit hole.... Al held par in pge and finished one spot ahead of me again. I seem to have a better car in gfx so the points battle is back and forth. One more race with the gfx cars and the new rule package takes effect. I think Al said we will be running Revo slots and old school rules tans am as the next two point classes. It should be interesting seeing how guys wrap there heads around the revo slots. Not to much one can do. Think it going to come down to who makes the least number of mistakes for 9 minutes. Even Thursday Bill's next week. all in all ir was good night of racing.
Yes indeed, it was good to be back! Thanks as always to Al for hosting and to the gang for being a great time. I must say I was fairly shocked at how well my cars ran after sitting for what has to have been at least a year, with my PGE car obviously being tuned well enough that a caveman could drive it.
I will be putting more of a conscious effort into getting back to the basement, despite all the irons I have in the various fires. It was good to catch up with you guys and great to get out racing again.
I will be taking a closer read through the new class structures to see which cars fit which categories. It might be Christmas all over again...
Checking on the new Revoslot class, is the 911 GT1 not legal?
And asking for a friend... Is there a class in which the Revoslot Alfa's, Escorts, and BMW's are legal?
Nice looking car there Chris.
There are enough types of Revo's there could be multiple classes.
