Well looks like another odd Thursday race night is here. The fast hot rods are on the schedule can am and gtx
Well, another Odd Thursday race night has come and gone. 7 racers made the trip out to Al's to do battle on the track and over the fresh bake cookies Al's wife made. 1st up was Can Am and Rico set the early pass with a fast car, a few off left the door open for the other racers and I snatched the victory away with three mistake free heats. up next was gtx and I started out in blue and had a rough heat getting caught up in other racers offs. Al rand three clean heats and looked to have the race won with a good time of 80.3. I had to wait for my time back on the track. it came down to the last heat and the last lap to decide the race and I once again was able snatch victory by 2 tenths with an 80.5-time up nest was open we were down too only 4 drivers both mitch, and Al ended up pulling their cars of in their last heats letting me cruise to an easy victory with David taking second. next Thursday is the revo slot race hoping my current run of luck stays with me and I can get a much-needed win in that race.
Race results:
another odd Thursday race night has come a gone. we had six racers show up to do battle. Up 1st was f1 and looks like the nsr cars are going to be the cars to have if you want to be on the top step. Ricco pulled out a brand-new car and drove off to the sunset and left the rest of asking what just happened....wtg go on the win. Up next was the last race of the season for sport car 1 class and I put down the mark of 68.5 which is a tie for the class record, So Al did his best to make a go of it. Al Was 1 tenth up going into the last heat but it all fell apart at the end and he came up little short. alter the race Al was found in the corner banging his head saying what do i need to do to get a win on my own dang track......
Next was open and these turned into another close race. AL was out to redeem his heart breaking lost in the sport car race and set an early mark to beat. It all came down to the last heat and the last lap and when time clicked down to zero. A load damn was heard booming in the basement from Al. You got me by one damn tenth. AL HAD THE TIE BREAKER with a 6.1 lap to my best 6.2 so that sector and half coast is what got me the win. Was laughing so hard pulled a muscle in my side. Great racing Al thanks again for letting us race on your track.
Race results:
Looking a little slow around here. There is 1/32 racing on Thursday. Trans Am and Can Am is on tap. The big v8's will be rumblings and the smell of high octane will be in the air.Come on out and have some fun at Al's there good eats and racing to be had.
Sorry, I'm going to miss this one. Will be in Boulder City, NV to clear out my father-in-law's place after his passing a couple of weeks ago.
Ok Stan. That's one job that nobody wants to have to do.
Mine have been ready to go since Sunday. My '69 Camaro hit a 6.5 on my track, I'm trying to NOT touch it until tomorrow.
While my 917K is a bit quicker I think I'm going to race my 917/10 as I can go lap after lap without coming out, that should make up for those couple of 10ths difference
looking good there Mitch
I'm going with the orange crush theme on Thursday. hopefully i have a close tune on the new nsr Porsche 917/10K.
The 70 Camero should be good to go as is.
NEWS FLASH just hot off the wire. the racing tonight was just epic, the big v8 did not disappoint. up first was trans am and Zack made it out tonight and showed that he still the guy to beat if you want to win, when it all came down to the end Zack and Doc were tied for the win with the tie breaker going with fast lap going to Doc, talk about close.
up next was the money race with the might earth shacking can am cars and Zack was out to take no prisoners and was able to take the win by single tenth over Doc. the Big looser was Al finishing down the order to take a big hit in the points. with us just pass the halfway point in the season there still plenty time to get those points back.
Up next was open and Doc came back from his heart break loss in Can am to take the win going away. another great night of racing, thanks Al once again. for hoisting.
Contrary to popular opinion that was me at Al's last night sans licorice. Sorry, no time for a store run yesterday. As per Doc's news flash there was a good amount of close hard-fought racing last night. Thanks again Al for letting us use your track for these contests. Looking forward to the next race.
Rico
Yeah, they are a lot of fun aren't they.

Hello gents. The track looks smaller than I remember, no wonder those lap times are so fast. ;-)
Hey there Stan! A racer with hair!
Miss y'all.
Yea we miss seeing you also. Hope to see out racing with us all soon
Here are the results from the March 3rd race:
It's race day eve. Gt3 and le Mas on the schedule. Hope to see you all on Thursday. Let's go racing.
Well race day is here let's see who brought there A game with them can Al get some those points back he lost last round. A few short hours and all will be revealed.....
RED ALERT incoming race report.........
we had six racers make the show, up 1st was gt3. Ricco had a brain fart and did not bring the correct car for the 1st class, so AL loaned his rocket ship to him. these would not be the only brain fart of the night, more on that later in the report. back to the racing. there was some really close racing with these gt3 cars doc and al batted side by side for nearly 3min straight neither able to pull any racing room on the other, the pressure was on and finally Al cracked trying to get that little extra in the hair bend and we touched, how I did come out was per luck. that little off allowed me to pull away and take the win by half a lap over Al with Rico taking third in the rental followed by Jeff Mitch and David
up next was the money race Le mans and once again the racing was close, and I was able to battle my way for the win with Al again coming in second and Ricco third.
up next was open and we were down to only 4 racers. Through the 1st two heats I was on a record seating run only to see it all go up in smoke when i got too cocky and hooked up my controller wrong and smoked the brake pot. Al ended up taking the win with Ricco in second and Mitch in third and me rounding out the field, thanks all once again Al see some of you all Monday at Bills the rest of you in two weeks.
Once again, very close racing indeed, just a matter of who doesn't make a mistake. BIG THANKS to Al for the use of the loaner. I stopped to marshal a car or I would've beat him with his own car :-).
Rico
yes, it was good night of racing. learned not to count my chickens before they hatch. i jinx myself saying no mistakes in the last heat and go and hook up my controller wrong. only good thing about that Jeff was gone and could give me a razing over it,
Results from March 17th race:
The big cam am v8 are warming up the racers pit area crew chiefs getting those last adjustments in before the cars hit the track. Let see if Al worked out the issues with is car from last round . See you all Al.may the odds always be in your favor..
Here we go again. Another odd Thursday race has come and gone. It was looking like it was going to be no go for racing. We only had three racers ready to race and it was getting close to the start of the racing when two more guys showed up right before we called it a bust. So we went with 5 for the night so track calls were the call for racing
Up 1st was pge and doc was on cruise control and got the 1st win of the night followed by Al and Mitch. Up next was Can Am and Al was able get a long waited win to stop the loosing streak in the points Doc came in second with Mitch rounding out the final step. Up next was open and Doc was able to take the stop step once again Al once again taking the runner up position... next odd Thursday race has been canceled at Al's but Mitch was thinking about hoisting the next race. Stay tuned for update on that. Thanks again for opening your tack Al.
Race results for March 31, 2022
Here's the results from the April 21st race:
