Mail order available?
If you have a particular interest I can bring something by Monte
My Harley is begging to leave the garage.
i dont think the track will fit the bad motor scooter....
In regards to the motors I'm selling. I think you will all agree $6 for any of the motors listed is a pretty good deal. My intent is to give some racers a chance to get some good deals on motors. I'm not looking to just liquidate these motors ala fire sale.
For this initial sale I am limiting each racer's purchase to one single motor of any particular brand/type. This will allow more racers to get an opportunity to get at least one of the more desirable motors.
So far Doc has requested an H&R 14k and 18k motor. (sold - set aside)
Rico has also requested one of each of the H&R motors. (sold - set aside)
I'm easy, I can wait until the crowd dies down. I'm sure I can select something out of the remains. Thank you, Bill.
That's why I passed on Monday. I'll pick through what's left over later. I have a bunch in a drawer. I'm more interested in the ones I'm not so familiar with.
Race results from the Odd Thursday Night race on September 23rd:
1st odd Thursday points race for the new season starts tonight. If anything shows from the last time we raced these class is that we all will be fighting for second behind Al little 962 rocket ship.
breaking new flash........ these just came across the wire... the racing was hot and fast to night at Al's man cave. all the racers were putting down amazing laps and the result was that records fell like the autumn leaves in a wind storm, when it was all said and down doc pulled out the broom for the sweep and won all three classes. Results forth coming.
thanks again Al for opening your doors and letting us race in your cave..
Results:
Well it is the day of another odd Thursday race day. Classes to night are gt3 and sport car 1. Let's see if Al can get is mojo back and get back to the top step of the podium.... rumor is that he has spent a many sleepless night down in the slot cave trying to find the sub 6 sec lap. Only time will tell if all that work played off or will some one else snatch victory and the glory..
I'd be really impressed if he could do sub 6 seconds with either of those classes. I know darn well I couldn't.
The key word is RUMOR started by Doc ! So there you go !!!
Just trying to do my part and keep the excitment up here.
I did see Doc hit an honest 6.0 something with his Thunderslot.
RACE REPORT........ we had a light turn out but that didn't hurt the racing. Up 1st was the gt3 class and doc took the win by two laps over Al with Rico taking the last step on the podium. Up next was the money race sport car 1 and Al was on cruise control and won by multable laps over mitch in 2 and doc rounding out the final step.. up next was open and the thunder was rumbling in the Al man cave.. these thunderslot are just a joy to drive. Fast and stable. Only thing that slowed them down was the track calls. Doc rebounded from is poor showing in the sport car 1 race and put the smackdown on the field. After the race Al was spotted looking for the source of that sector and A half coast doc car did during a track call.he should of been looking at the anchor on his car... thanks once again Al for opening your tack up to race on..
October 21st race results:
Classic Sports Car 1 Class
so how did the reunion go. looked like the weather sucked
Actually the NHRA Hot Rod Reunion was totally AWESOME! The weather was perfect for a northwesterner for three of the five days I was there. Not too hot and not cool at all, around the mid-seventies. One of the days got pretty darn hot, and then Monday (the day we left) it rained a lot! Overall it was perfect weather-wise!
I thought the Tommy Ivo post was very cool. What a splendid person.
I was SO impressed with Mr. Ivo! He is definitely a class act! It is not often you see such a famous figure in any sport take such personal interest in their fans! Not only does he keep his rail and trailer in show condition, he transports it to the these events, starts it up for the fans, and participates in the "Cackle Fest". The fuel alone for his rail is $15 a gallon. He goes way out of his way to please the fans at these NHRA events.
Rumor is that there going to be a throw down tonight at Rippin riding speedway . Better bring your sharpest knife to do battle on the track..
