I have been sorting through my 1/32 cars and have decided to let some go. Most of the cars are used, a few are brand new!
Here are some project cars. Disassembled and some with missing parts.
The PASER Rules are now up to date as listed here (June 6, 2024).
There has been a request to allow brushless motors for use in PASER classes. I told the person requesting I would post it up for discussion and let the club members decide. Please post your comments or views here.

Today I finished up another box. Had to wait on parts via the mail. This box is smaller than most. You can tell by the amount of filler and the sanding that it was pretty rough. I left the original stickers in place and sanded around them where necessary. I then cleaned them up the best I could. The CASITE sticker was in pretty bad shape. Some of the edges were curled up, and parts of the sticker had come loose from the box. I used Mod Podge to glue the sticker back down to the box, and trimmed off the edges that were excessively curled and brittle. The box and all the stickers then received two coats of clear urethane to seal them.
I had a really cool old handle I stole off of another box that I thought would look better on this one. I cleaned up the mounting hardware with a wire wheel, and attached it using new brass screws and nuts. This box got new brass corners top and bottom as it had none previously.
On a side note, while this box was sitting on the work bench, I was asked a couple times what CASITE was. I did not know so I Googled it. Originally the company made an engine additive called "Motor Honey". The ad indicated it would stop engine smoking.........It looks like the company is still in business and makes similar type products.

Thanks, but I am a LONG way from master wood craftsman. I don't fully "restore" my boxes, I just kind of hot rod them. I make them structurely sound and purposeful. I don't worry about the blemishes. I let them show their "road rash" under a nice new gloss coat! I make them useful again, and that is my priority! Some, although still beat up underneath, come out looking pretty good! Monte, the one you asked me about is right now sitting on the bench and with any luck will be completed by the end of the weekend. Unfortunately I am really liking the way it is coming around and it may not be for sale.......

I finished this box up today. Box "B" is an original Hoffman's box. This one was in pretty good shape as far as the wood panels go, but all the hardware was corroded and rusty. I stripped off all the hardware and ran it through the tumbler which removed the corrosion and rust, leaving everything shiny. The top and all the side panels got block, then received sanded a coating of urethane clear. After the clear dried the original hardware was reinstalled using new brass screws. By the way, anybody priced brass screws lately? The original handle hardware was in really bad shape, so a new handle was installed. I think this one came out pretty nice.

It was warm weather for this Even Thursday night race at Inslot's Checkered Flag Raceway in Vancouver. Five of us started the evening out by meeting up at Shari's Restaurant for a bite to eat. Attendees for the race peaked at nine by the start of the second race. Considering the high temps outside, the climate around the track was warm but never too uncomfortable. The first class on the schedule to be raced was the ever popular Womp class. This class features inexpensive cars and close competition! The Womp race consisted of one round of three minute heats. Bob "Nak-Nak" Nakamura won the first race of the evening.
The second race was for the Flexi class. The racing in this class is always extremely close, even though this class has been dominated by the JK chassis ever since Bob made the RTR cars available to PASER club members. The format was again one round of three minute heats. After crediting Bob with the three laps he missed by crossing the lap counting deslotted, results showed Bob won with his JK car with a 143 lap total.
The last race of the night was for the PASER NASCAR class. This is a hardbody class open to most any chassis configuration as raced by any of the local club's rules. If you have a 1/24 scale hardbody NASCAR you race somewhere, it is legal for a PASER NASCAR race! Bob again lead the way to the checkered flag, completing a clean sweep of the evening's racing!
Racing started at 6:00PM and the last race was over by 9:00PM. The evening had cooled off a bit allowing for a really nice B.S. session outside. After the leisurely discussions a couple of us went out for pie. Over the past season these evening races have been a lot of fun. I know I have enjoyed them. Questions did come up about continuing the even races; i.e - what days? Continue over the summer? Include them in next season's schedule? ....Lot's of questions for the rest of this year as well as next season...
Do these rules need to be posted under the "NASTE Rules" to replace the current GT3 rules?

This is a close up of the right hand curve that will lead into one of two long front straights.
The opposite end (left side of the table) from the banked curve will include an overpass. This end will be challenging!
In this photo, the section of the track under construction is actually the underpass. It is actually laying on top of the overpass section while being routed. The inside hairpin portion of the curve will actually be in the downhill portion leading into the underpass. The left hand corner after the short straight will lead onto the long front straight.
Tim Arnold is in the process of replacing his Carrera digital track at his TNT Motor Sports Complex. Tim is building a new 1/24 four lane MDF routed track in his home in Clackamas (Rico this one is close to you!). Tim has completed the construction of the 180 banked curve, all four lanes of the underpass including the curves and the short straights. The initial routing of two other curves has been completed. The routing left to be done is the two major long straights that will run side by side down the length of the track table, which is approximately 24 feet. I estimate the total lap length will be somewhere around 90 feet. This is going to be a fast but challenging track!
This straight leads up hill to the 180 banked turn.
This is the 180 bank which is banked at 17 degrees. For reference it is the same width and slope as the banked turn on Inslot's Checkered Flag Raceway.
The first lane of the straight and right hand curve coming out of the bank is routed. Tim will use the jig he made for his router to route the other three lanes. Once the first lane is designed and routed the remaining three are quick and reletively easy to complete. The right turn will connect to a long straight.
