Congratulations to Daniel (Doc) Fritz, the 2024 NASTE Point Series Champion!

Thanks Al had alot of bad luck these go around. He is gunning to take the top spot back. Or will someone  else take the crown ?

Last race points  race night  has come and gone. Light turn out with only five  racers  make the  drive out to Al's to do battle. Up 1st was slot it classic and Al and Doc put on a show racing side by side   through  the corners  with laying a fender on either car. Doc was finally  able to pull a slight lead out at the 230 mark  and Al got greaddy  and tryed to make it up in the next corner and push little to hard and came out. Doc ended up taking the win followed  by Al and then Gregg.  Up next was group c and again it was another  repeat  of the classic race with both Doc and Al swapping the lead back and fourth.  Till Al took every body  out with  the clock winding down. In the crash Doc lost his front body post screw and had to take it easy but had built up a cushion  In the 1st two heat to take the win with Al second and G third.  Up next was open and Doc put a big explanation  mark for the night with a new track record and a sweep  for the night racing. Al was in secound and Gregg took 3rd
We are in the dog days of summer new schedule  should be out soon

O boy looks like  fast track.  Going to be fun

I stand corrected  the slot it gt3 cars have 23k motors from the factory so we would go 23k motor limit.

Why only 20k motors?

Well the new slot it gt3 cars  come with a 20k the sideways  are 17k   the nsr sidewinder are also 20k motors. Not sure what the scalauto  are. But we can definitely  discuss  motor limit. I just threw that out to keep it simple and make the cars some what even.

Whata do you all want to run next point season????? Maybe  another  new class. Been some discussion  on a gt3 class  with podded  chassis  and 20k motor limit. Sound off  raceres

One more point race to go. Time to discuss  what we want to run  for next year...

Well we had a light turn out. The sun made it tough to be down in a basement but race we did. UP 1st was lmp and a new track record was set with Doc 87.5 smashing the old record by a lap!!! AL came a cross the line in 2nd followed  by Greg  in third. NEXT was group c and these was another Win for Doc, Al had another guild wire break and it cost him a good finish. In the end it was Doc on the top step followed  by Rico and then Gregg Al was 4th and  then Mitch. Last race was open and Al was out to salvage his night of racing. And he did by getting to the top with a hard earned win over Doc   followed  by Rico.in third.  Only two more point races and then we are into the summer program..see you all in two werks

Well, I had intended to come tonight, but tripped on some rocks while rejuvenating the drip watering system for our Airbnb cottage, and twisted my ankle, and avoided a face plant by alternatively accepting a "knee plant," so it hurts to stand up.

See you next time!

Suck it up Mich and Rico said they made it out to race after having a stroke.

Like I said my nascar was a boat anchor.. humble  pie . taste awful!!!

only 3 more to go

The story with the picture. Up 1st was Can Am and it was a fight to the end. Rico been the magic man lately  when it come to racing Can Am and with his win with the big brother at Howies Saturday, he was hoping to continue  with its little1/32 brother. In the 1st heat was Rico in red Stan in blue and Doc in white. The tone sounded and .Doc jump out to a early lead with Rico just a few car lengths  back pushing hard and looking 4 mistake from  Doc he didn't have to wait long for his opening when  Stan lost it and de slotted coming around to the main straight,. DOC was caught up in his wreck  and that all Rico needed  to take the heat win and   the race win. Doc made it close but came up short. Al took the final step in 3rd. Up next was Revo Slot and Doc Viper took the win followed by Al in 2nd and Mich in 3rd.  Rico had another fast car but he hit a cat in his 1st heat and ihis car slowly  came to a screaming  halt. A quick repair after the heat and he was back in the fight but to much time lost dragging  the screaming cat around the track. Up next was open and Al car was hauling the mail  and he took a easy win. Doc had his car running high 5.9 during practice. But could not repeat that pace in the race and a few forced  off  let Al take the win Followed by Doc and Rico in 3rd.  So three different  winners for the  night everybody went home happy. All in all it was a great night  Racing

U bet it was fun. FYI
BAD BILLY  favorite  saying is rubbing is racing. Good thing the paint is on the inside of the bodies  or Bill wouldn't  have  any paint on the side panels  leftover.

Wtg Howie graduation  on taking Championship

Well, it looks like we maybe have turned the corner and racers are slowly making it back out to the track.  We had our best turn out for some time with 8 racers with one being new to the Track Brian. He been out to a few 1/24 race so, but these was 1st try at Al's. We threw him to the loin den with the not so easy to drive Policar Classic f1 cars. He struggled at 1st but slowly got the hang of the car.  It was a very close race from 2nd down with only tenths separating the finishing order Doc took the win with a big lead over 2nd. I don't recall the order will have to wait for the results.  Up next was group c and it was a wild race. There were some closely match cars, and it was anybody race to win if you stayed clean and in the slot. well, it is racing and there was lots contact with cars being put off and knocked around. Al looked like he was going to have a good point night till it all fell apart in the last 30 seconds of the race when is car came to a stop on the main straight with a lead wire coming off. The race was paused, and it was able to get back into the fight, but the damage was done, and he tumbled down the standing and ended up in 6th place with Doc taking the win it not looking too good for Al.  With only 4 more points races to go. But it is racing, and Doc could have the biggest choke in racing history so. Don't throw in the towel yet Al... see you all in two weeks.

Make it a Wednesday  night at either Al  or Mitch and I could make it. Mitch would be the best for most. More central  location wise that is. But there call.......

Doc, the engine has about 200 miles on a rebuild.  We should be good.

It not even broken  in yet...worst thing to do is let a motor sit seals dry out ect. Drive it like you stole it at least once a month..
