Does the same tire fit both?

Doc I'll bring the F1.  Bill do we have Eagle and Lotus tires yet?

It's yours.  I'll give it to you next time we're together.

Another First Sunday has come and gone.  It brought us a fun day of racing and some beautiful weather.  The garage door was open, it was a pleasant day.  First up, the Slot.it C class:

Slot.It C Class
1.  Monte Saager - 45.7 laps
2.  Tracy Flood - 44.2
3.  Thomas Flood - 44.0
4.  Greg Petrolati - 43.6
5.  Al Christensen - 43.0
6.  Jeff Fields - 42.9
7.  Mitch Brooks - 42.8
8.  Amy Fields - 40.5
9.  Victoria Saager - 40.2

For our second set we tried something new and after a false start or two while Monte got the system set we had a good time.  We scored it as two different sets since as the track seemed to warm up traction seemed to improve for the second set.

Digital IROC - Carrera Porsche 917's and Porsche 917/30's.
First Set
1.  Jeff  Fields - 144 laps
2.  Al Christensen - 141
2.  Mitch Brooks - 141
4.  Greg Petrolati - 140

Second Set
1.  Monte Saager - 160 laps
2.  Tracy Flood - 158
3.  Thomas Flood - 149
4.  Victoria Saager - 142

Thanks to all that made it out, I really enjoy the digital action.  And only a few parts to glue back on.  smile

Howdy Doc.  I can set you up with a car just about like the one you ran the other night.  Looks new, not sure it's been run much at all.

Yours for $40.

Mostly our F1 class allows just about any F1 car and then we break them out more akin to an autocross field.

I ran around a few cars and they all seemed to run just fine but I didn't have anything running against them of a similar nature at the same time for comparison.

More likely someone needs to list them.  Let me check with the powers that be.  How about you?  Racing Monday?  We need to add some events to the calendar.

Snicker...  friends.  Sorry.

We had a great time too.  Congrats to Mitch on giving us an F1 Whoopin'.

Fish are fiends not food.  smile

So do I, I'll bring some examples.  Doc, what did you get for a car and controller?

Well, mostly.  You'll have to cover the expense of coming to get it.

Includes:

  • DELL GX270 Tower (if memory is correct) w/ XP installed on a smaller HDD with a second larger HDD included/installed and formatted only

  • DELL monitor

  • Logitech mouse

  • Keyboard - one of those ergonomic ones

I'll even transport it to wherever we'll be together next, just let me know.  This is after all my fifth computer here at the house.  Four should be enough.

I have an older DELL tower if anyone would like a PC for their slot car track.

Contact me if that's you.

Stan I believe our club price is $2 per pair for 1/32 tires.  Get with Bill and check to see if it's one we've already cast.

Yes, indeed.

Thoughts...  it sounds like some of these cars need quite a bit of work to be competitive.  smile

Mitch, yes, the sp15b is the one I got as well.  If you have Tony's # give him a call.  Sent straight from Hornby in WA.

I'm thinking it will go in one of the Alfa's.  Or a Lancia.

Dan, Can Am or C Class?

I've had that experience.  Trippy, dude!  All the way to the floor.

The service from the DS factory is Alan at 132slotcar.us.  He has parts.  They are after all a European mfg while the rest are US companies.  I've had mine quite a while and the only issue I have seen is once when the trigger got sticky and wouldn't return all the way.  Thought at the moment I had lost the brake circuit but no.  So I haven't lost a brake circuit yet but neither do I use mine much with vintage 1:24 cars with old-style motors.

However I have run Enduro's of 50 minute heats using Scale Auto and BRM 1:24's with no issue at all.

They are also the only controller I know of with adjustable trigger tension.

It's quite possible they are not really rated for those motors hence the problem with the brake circuits

I find them an excellent controller for 1:32.

And I will say this, it's the fastest off the line controller I have ever had and I usually take off first in just about every heat.  Always nice to be in the lead for at least a few feet.  smile

Wonderful.  Looking forward to it.  Does the track have a name?

And I'll remind you!

Thanks Bill, always a wonderful time.

I have a stack too, some way more powerful than slot car magnets.  Let me know if you still need more.

This sounds great.  Are we running the Slot.it Porsches?  What about controllers?  And where did your magnet work best on the Trans Am car?
