For those interested in entering the 2017 IPS proxy Alexis has started taking reservations for next year. It is limited to 30 something cars and appears to be filling up fast.

I ran my Mustang for a long time and just couldn't come out on top. I finally switched to a Camaro. It turns out it wasn't the car.

Especially in that narrow track Mustang. That 1/8"-1/4" difference between the Mustang and the Camaro is huge. Great driving job. On the other hand my 10th place finish is looking better and better. ;-)

I'm a consumer and would have to put it together, thus spoiling it.

I'm not on call any more, I'll give it some consideration. 40 minutes heats you say, I was only partly kidding when I joked about my 3 minute attention span.

Watch the stairs Doc.

Since September 13 was actually a Tuesday this year does that mean we are starting tomorrow night 9/15? If so we should bring a trans am car? Or did you mean October 13th? Either way I'm ready, lets go.

Mine's fixed, had to find a new O ring at the local hardware store and put a new grommet on the wire. With Rico's new axle it appears to be ready to go.

Uh, Ummm, I've been testing your tires for the last two races, but with the front end issues I still finished near the bottom. Last race in the first heat I got a little too wide on Al's bank and Monte broadsided me so hard my car broke. I borrowed one of Rico's cars and had my best finish ever in that class.

Looks like Dennis had a three wheeled car on the tow back up, but it doesn't appear to help.  Wheel Diameter makes a difference too. Those taller wheels have the bearings working only about half as hard as Dennis's smaller wheels.

I put the axle I got from Rico (thanks again Rico) into mine, it seems smoother but my straightaway isn't really long enough to get it up to speed.

Kind of like putting a little lead just behind the guide?

There is a brake, but it kind of reminds me of how Fred Flintstone stopped his car. It does seem to work though.

Meeting the kids for lunch. Keep the shiny side up.

I've got a couple of pretty good podless classic sports cars I'll try out at the next race. The last time I tried them everybody else was running pod cars. I'll just have to get me a big mega box like Monte so I can bring everything.

Monte, except for a couple of de-slots you would have had me. You had the faster car in both races. Oh and if I bumped you once or twice, it was an accident.

Yes, thank you, as always it was a wonderful time. Congrats to Dominic on his first place finish.

Bill, a 30 lap victory? What are you feeding that thing?

Now that's not a GPS unit on the dash is it? If we need a GPS to get to the bottom of the hill we might not finish so good.

I might have to join you, my new front ties came today, but my track is too small to get up to tire hopping speed. I suppose I could turn the voltage up, but there is a wall behind turn one.

According to my wife, the trick is to paint the car the color you want the stripes, then mask off the stripes, paint over the tape with the same color. After it dries paint it again the color you want. Later when you peel the masking off it won't have bled through. I've yet to try it myself, but the next one I do, I'm going to do it.

Nah, I'll be social, I'm just here for the fun anyway, because the pay stinks.
