You guys rock!!

Thanks for hosting last night Bill.  I had a great time racing and visiting, right until I went to leave and my Ferrari 612 Can Am was MIA.  Not to worry, the car has been located, PHEW!  I have no problem sharing my cars with others but please try to put them back in my box/area and not some other racers.

Regards
Rico

Thanks Bill.  I was kind of hoping to see how mine stack up against the competition, so please save results of race if you are able.

Just a reminder, Bill's opening early today and we'll do a race with cars prepped per the regs on page 4 (http://naste.org/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=5745#p5745).  Doors open at 3, aiming to run around 4 so we can be done and get back to the normally scheduled event for the night.

I was hoping to test my cars for this class but I cannot be there by 3:00 as I have to work to feed my family.

Nice work!

Thanks Bill for another night of action packed racing action. Goose, I owe you one.  One big nerf that is ;-)

Ferrari 512's, Chevron B19/21, Porsche 908, Lola T-70 and quite a few others that take the same tire.

Anybody else have a particular car they are planning to race in this new class?

Are Fly Classic tires available through the club(you)?  I know Paul Gage makes them but I would be curious to see how they would compare against each other.

Let's bring what we have to the next race and do some testing. The problem I'm having is that most of mine have been modified in some way making them illegal.

Has anyone experienced a gear issue with the Fly cars other than a bad pinion?

If not maybe we could limit gear changes to only the replacement of the pinion gear? That would make things easier.

I have heard that the stock Scalextric plastic pinions work well and have better mesh than the stock Fly pinion.

I'm mostly fine with the proposed rules except the stock gearing. The stock Fly gears leave a lot to be desired and many are bad right out of the box and I see no reason to trade bad for bad if one has to be replaced.

Sorry I had to miss but it was Dominic's birthday and we had other plans.

Dominic and I had a great time as well, thank you Al, great job.  I thought Dom did well for his first run at the track and really liked the Ford GT's.

I'll second that.  I'm also very glad to have survived the carnage of the BRM race.  I've got to find a replacement for Brutus, he's just not stable enough any longer.

I know I'm in the minority, but I don't and won't do either one.
