Okay, I added weight to my chassis and re-soldered the wires, I am ready for a rematch.

I won't plan to go as my weekend activities will be controlled by last minute weather forecast until this school opens on August 26th. I'm more than happy to contribute something towards track rental if a group plans to go.

It's looking good Bill

The Merc must be an older one as it has a Slot It type pod. I don't remember when or where I got it. It's not a bad runner though, despite the plastic wheels and the missing wing.

I don't know about the Vette but just this evening I found a Scale Auto Mercedes GT3 car in a box of misc. cars so I grabbed it and a Ninco racing version of the same car. When I had them on the workbench I noticed how similar they were, then realized they we identical right down to every decal on the livery. While the chassis are of different designs the bodies are interchangeable. I never knew that Scale Auto and Ninco were in bed together, or at least are sourcing their bodies from the same vender.

I've got the red M6 Rico. I keep poking at it from time to time. I haven't upgraded the wheels or gears yet, but that may be the next step. About a year ago somebody, it might have been Chris Walker posted an article on tuning these and had them running pretty good. I wish they had a third livery, they could be made into a nice set of IROC cars, but I think I've only seen the two.

Remember it has to be a car that ran at LeMans. While I'm no expert, there are several popular cars that never ran at LeMans I have no real idea which ones but I'm sure there are those who do.

Good to hear Rico.

When I started 3 or 4 years ago I experienced that same helpful spirit. It must be a group thing.

I need to learn to make these, then teach myself to scale them down to 1/32.

I've started three more cars for Howie's then got to trying finish my track and the cars are still on the bench.

Dennis, talk to Beau he made me one by cutting up an H&R chassis and making it articulate. It runs fantastic.

All of the classic stuff that is out of production has gone thru the roof.

No, this one is the NSR. I build a black and gold Racer but it's heavier than this one. I took out all of the lead out of the 250LM, it seems to handle well on my track, we'll see how it runs at Al's tomorrow.

Party on Garth, I mean Bill.

These are ready for the PGE era GT Class.

I have several I've worked with but the quickest seems to be a Pink Kar GTO 250, all original except the motor and rear tires. it just seems to work.

Zach, the Fly 250LM is a great car but you have to change the rear wheels to get down to 7mm tires. I've also won a couple of races with the Fly GT40, it's low and wide, but again you have to change the rear wheels, which usually also means Axle and spur gear too.

Ninco Classsics include '56 Corvette, Jag XK120, Porsche 356, Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa, Ferrari 188, and the Ford Cobra. The Corvette and Jag are the easiest to work with.

Really, I thought he just forgot to clean the pot between the red and white. Seriously it looks great Chris.
I have some of the older cars that I don't really care for the molded colors but when I can find them without paint I hate to do it.
And so many red ones, red plastic must have been very cheap in the 60s.

Then I need to build/buy more Econo chassis.

I didn't know that Chris painted Zack's car, nicely done. But then I didn't know he had other colors.

Looks Great Bob. I had better finish the rest of my 1/24 cars. I need more shelf space.

Now that the race is over, I went home made some adjustments to my old yellow GT40 and it went from 7.7 seconds on my track to 7.1. Oh well, but it looks like we're running them again next week for points. I just need to keep my hands off of it.

I needed Chris to help me work under mine. I couldn't get both arms under there far enough to do it by myself.
