Here is a chassis block that I made many, many years ago while still working and had access to the machine shop at Warn Industries. Made of aluminum, 3/8" thick, 4.5" wide X 9.5" long. 1/4" squares machined in. I could use 1/8" or 3/32" axles by moving the posts.

This was a very laid-back and fun night of messing with Halloween themed slot cars. If you are looking for a fun event, this is the one. For the people who missed this race for one reason or another, you definitely missed out on a fun night................and food and candy etc. I heard talks of discontinuing this event for lack of interest, that would be a shame in my opinion.

I raced on that track many, many times when it was at Slot Car Central. It is a fun track to race on.
Doc, there is an open track here on Thursday (2 days away) Aug. 14. The last open track before the Sept. 6th. race. Doors open at 1pm. and closes at about 7pm. or 8pm. or whenever!
Good turnout for a nice Saturday, thanks to everyone who showed up. Good BS sessions of course and cookies made it more fun! Got in plenty of track time. The following video (when Bill gets time) is NASTRUCKS hitting the track.
Had a good time yesterday at the open track event. 8 racers showed up to test and tune etc. I plan on at least two more open track Thursdays before the season starts.
I am on this NASTE site a lot. I read all the latest write ups and news. I like to be able to report on the news of Northwest True Scale and I believe it is read by many people. For instance, I started reporting on the plans (Northwest True Scale page) for the 2026 season starting in February and have 1,338 hits as of now. Thanks Monte, it is a good slot car site in my opinion.
Thanks to Bill, the schedule for NWTS is on the calendar page on this site. I am looking forward to the 2026 season at Rapid, but I am not trying to rush through summer either!!
The above schedule has been updated and is pretty much in stone. There could be an added race or two during the season. Time will tell.
