Beings Bob's new class called Classic NASCAR was voted in as the points class for the first half of the 2022 season I decided it was time for me to build a car. The first picture ( after Bill kindly adds the pictures ) is one of my pet peeves: oversize wheel wells or too small front tires or both! The second picture is .040" plastic that I used to fill in the wheel well. Third picture is the inside of the wheel well. I used Super glue. The model kit that I will use is the Monogram Olds that the project is pictured on.....................to be continued.

I didn't know him as well as most slot racers did, but he seemed like a nice guy. I remember Glen and Bill and I going to eat lunch at Spud Monkies on Halsey awhile back, good memory of him.
I almost emailed you on the subject as I only took a picture of your time and not the car. I think you are right, I got rather confused ( not the first time! ) on the subject. First mistake I ever made in my life!! LOL. I will fix it. Sorry 'bout that Zack.

The 2021 season was a good one other than the Covid that shut down a few races. A big plus for this year was good turnouts and new racers joining the fun. The competition was good and so is the atmosphere. I am REALLY enjoying this hobby with new and old friends. In my opinion it isn't about wining ( although I would like to do it once in awhile ) it is about friends having a good time. We have one more scheduled race ( the Grand Prix on May 15. ) and then it is on to planning the next season and I am really looking forward to it.

Sounds good Bill on Rob's participation with us in the NWTSR races. We are having some good turnouts and good racing. Have him stop by next Sat. for the 962 race if he can make it.
Does Rob race these beauties to give them "honored war stripes"?
Team Bluegroove bodies are great. My .030" 962 has taken some serious hits ( especially at Springwater Raceway ) and not a crack in the body. If any of our hard bodies become unavailable or get too expensive, I would suggest going to the Bluegroove bodies.

Speaking of old cars, I am bringing an AJ Foyt Pontiac #14 for the Flexi NASCAR race on March 27th. at Springwater. It hasn't seen action since the '90's at Slot Car Central!
Either one of those cars are nice but I would take the #43 as it is very nice. Good catches Rico!
