Thanks for thinking of us Rico. Take care.
There will be more racing for sure. Bill and Bob are going to have a race the next two weekends I believe.
Ted has a Volteq 3010-EX power supply unit. He is asking $120.00. That is a good price, if I didn't already have one I would grab it. This unit is used for testing motors etc. for your slot cars. $120.00. Phone # 541-410-4518.
You might as well go for it Doc, what's to lose? You might have some fun building and racing!
No I don't, but give Ted a call to find out the specifics.
Nice Rico. I like it. Glad there is some building going on during this Covid deal.
Ted has two controllers for sale.
One is a third eye, 1 yr. or so old. $200.00.
The other one is a Difalco. Almost brand new, used only in practice. $200.00.
Either one of these is a good buy.
Ted's phone #541-410-4518.
Thanks for keeping us updated Zack. It will be so nice to hit the tracks again and actually race, that is what the hell these cars are for! And of course to BS and have a good time!
Yes, there was a scheduled race yesterday, but not enough showed up to have one! So we tweaked and practiced and drank coffee, ate cookies etc and BS'd and had a good time any way.
The next race is scheduled for Dec. 5th. We will see what happens then!
Maybe I can get Bill to post a picture I sent him last night.

Back in the day ( '60's/'70's ) 1% meant that 1% of motorcyclists were bad, like the Hells Angels. I have a lunch box in the shop that I used to carry my lunch in and I painted a Harley on it with the 1% . I was one Bad Ass! Yea right!! Ha, Ha.................etc!
Who is Mavis Beacon? Slot racer? Running for president? A hot rodder? What??
I mentioned the headlight class at last nights race and asked how many were interested. I got enough hands in the air to go ahead with building the car. This will be a next season class and we will have a chassis session for this between this season and next ( summer ) for those that are interested. This class will have a special race at Rapid Raceway next season copied after the Rapid 500 and the Rapid Grand Prix.
I really appreciate the racers turning out for a race and it is a good time. Also thanks for taking care of that braid issue. I need to replace the braid, I know I have said that before!

Speaking of night racing..................I am in the process of building a car with head/tailights. The body is a Team Bluegroove Chaparral F2. I am trying to make it easy as possible for racers to participate. I am building this car with my Flexi chassis from one of my Can-Am cars. I am thinking a racer could take a chassis from his Can-Am car and just install this body. This body has a 4" wheelbase. This would be spec class and the Flexi chassis would have to be approved. This may lead to another chassis session! I do not have the rules all done yet. This would be a new class for the next season.
I would like to have comments on what you all think about this.
I will send Bill a few pics. of the progress so far so he can post them.

Bill; I promise I will have my own car next year! Thanks for the loaner. The race was a lot of fun and the BS session along with the food and goodies made it all well worth it. I believe we can get the turnout up for next yr. How long has the NASTE Halloween race been going on?
Yea, I know they aren't worth much and I will cut into it. Just had to have somewhat of an excuse because I wanted to put the project off for now and get into something else!
Geez; this morning I was ready to cut the factory wrap off of the #83 box when I noticed the manufacturing date of 1988! 32 yrs. ago, mmmmmm now what?
I think this is going to be my entry in the Springwater 500 next time. It is still sealed from the factory! Found it in the shop yesterday. This was driven by Lake Speed, a national kart champion before he moved on to the NASCAR circuit. I hope I have some purple paint left!

Zack, I have used 3/32nd. tube as such, it works for me.
