I think what that car needs is a little more rubber on the rear wheels.

Oh, that was sarcasm.  I had to think about it for a minute.

Styrene?  No saw blades?

Yes, it looks like you are using a solid rod rather than tubes.  Did you decide one over the other or that's just what you used?

When I was digging our pond I did threaten to bury my accountant there. We've not worked with him since.

And not because he's under my pond.

Zack - rod rather than tube?  Bend issue?

I come for the sheer joy of seeing all my friends again.

I've got a great internet connection and bi-weekly guitar lessons.  I'm good.

Ya'll stay safe and we'll see you when the conditions improve.

Wow, I thought you cleaned that track.  wink

Yup. spent a lot of time running on that track and knew Bill and Carol Heilers well.  They eventually added a second smaller track to the building.  When the track finally closed in St. Helens they moved the smaller track to Vernonia and operated it there for some months.  And that's where we raced the midgets with the rule you could come off and get put back on but if you rolled you were out.  So we're racing Midgets and I nerf Bill, his car rolls and out he goes.  Next thing I know he lassoes my feet with his controller cord, gives a little tug and over my car goes.  Locals all laughed.  That was ok, even then I realized the locals should get the glory not the hot shots from St. Helens.

Good times for sure.

Memories...

I have one car that was built with the help of Bob - a Chaparral 2D.  The chassis is a thing of beauty as was Bob.  We worked it over a couple of sessions.  He was helpful as could be to the fumble-fingered one.

Do they scratch-build in heaven?

Of course, we'll always be needling you.  wink

Oh, needing...  Yes, indeed, we need drivers AND marshals.

Pick a night and we can broadcast it to the group using the weekly scheduler.

I'll make it if I can.  Thought I'm guessing some would prefer I just keep making tires.  wink

Yes.  I'll even try to remember to go.  I would have been there the other night but I just plain forgot.  We've been busy lately.

It appears that tire production is finally underway, here's proof.

http://www.naste.org/members/monte/tires2.jpg

This week I'm making tires that have already had molds cast including:

Carrera DTM
Ninco Classic
Scalex Camaro T/A
Fly Porsche 906, 908, 917

And some others.  if you have requests from the current molds let me know.  I can probably make another four or five batches.

The following week we'll probably start on NEW molds including the Spirit 512.

Also the tire web site will be having some updates...

You can run the car stock with good tires and it should run just like all the rest.

Don't cut the pods.  This isn't designed to be a big mod class.

Run as stock competition should be close.

You can say that again. ;-)

Alrighty!

Building cars for next season...  with my current load I'm about three seasons out at this point.  ;-)

Scalextric, Ninco, Carrera, and many others make cars for these classes without pods.  If we just eliminate cars with pods all together than the problem will solve itself.

I believe that a car with a tightened pod is still a better handling car than one without.  There's a different design aesthetic involved.

We have plenty of classes for podded cars, let's have one or two without.

You are correct.  Se have other classes where the GT40 can be a winner.

My dad went through the first pharmacy class at OSU before it was OSU.  He said the winter was so cold and they were so poor they drank spoons of Tabasco sauce to warm up.
