What about one of our closest classes LeMans?
What about one of our closest classes LeMans?
There wasn't any talk of changing it. I believe these discussions all came about due to desires to alter the classes. There wasn't any talk about the Le Mans class.

I only listed the classes that were mentioned in the discussions for updating or making changes. As far as I've heard the Le Mans Class is good as it is.
I can't seem to finish any better than 4th, but this class is perfect.
Your car was flying in that 1st heat. What happened?
It flew in all three heats, three other guys just flew faster.
Well at least u had fun right
It's all fun Doc, the prize money doesn't mean a darn thing.
Gee Mitch, you won two out of four races ! You can't sweep every race night, well, maybe you can !
I put an addendum on the rally class advocating for both classes- 2 and 4wd. We can treat it like the Classics classes and run them together until we have enough to run them separately.
Thoughts?
I think that's fine but we need to have some sort of motor limit since the releases are all over the place with general offerings from SCX, Scaley, Ninco, Team Slot, ScaleAuto, NSR and so forth. Finally some nights to run the Stratos'!
Rally you say. I have no clue on what to get for this class. what is a good make to look at. are there 4 wheel or are there two wheel drive cars that you have to buy a kit to convert. this unschooled non rally racer needs to be schooled in the finer things of rally......
Uh oh, might be time to break out the 4WD Peugeot. Sorry I had to miss Thursday but it was Cece's birthday, slightly more important.

Agreed. Got a recommendation? 18k/21k? 15k/21k? 15k/18k?
How fast do we want these to be?
Let me give it a little thought.
The other thing which comes to mind is there are 1/32 versions of AWD rally cars which are only 2wd. How do we want to classify these? Run them in the 2wd class because they ARE 2wd, or make them run in the 4wd class because of the vehicle they model?
I ask this because I see Scalex makes a rather attractive looking Sport Quattro but I believe it's 2wd, which would be disappointing. It'd be interesting to try to scratch build a 4wd chassis for it.
In addition, are we going to run tarmac spec cars or gravel? There are obvious differences in setups which would greatly influence the performance potential.
DOC, the extent of my knowledge is that rally cars have TWO occupants, the rest is a mystery.

I just messaged Al Penrose (BWA). He has a limited supply of 14k motors... he’s down to his last 3,000 or so. He’s asking $4 a pop for each. We may be able to score a few.

I firmly believe we should have face to face meeting to discuss rules/class changes. I suggest 5:45 to 6:15 before an Odd Thursday night race.
I ebb and flow of ideas will go much better with less misunderstanding that can happen online.
I think that's a very good idea Jeff!
Rules meeting or meetings works for me .
But Bill, you would actually have to be there. Like in person. I could even bring you a car or two, unless I get stuck on a late cement pour.

Oh, he could be there, but he wouldn't race.
