Topic: New 1/24 Track Soon...

I spoke with Jeff Courtney yesterday. He is working to finish up his slot car room and reassemble the 1/24 track he purchased from Larry Cockerham. Jeff is planning to have the track up and running within a couple months! For those of you that remember Larry had named the track "Boss Slot Raceway". It was located in Carlton Oregon, and was moved to Portland when Jeff purchased it. It is a 4 lane track originally built By Larry Cockerham and Dave Smith. The track features a very fast sweeping bank with straights leading into and out of it. It is a great track!   ------------------Bill

Got a call from Jeff today. His slot track room is insulated and the sheetrock is hung! He said taping & mudding is next, followed by painting. He said he is looking to set the track up within a couple weeks. YES!!!!  -----------------Bill

Just got off the phone with Jeff. His slot car room is sheetrocked, painted, and carpetted. Track assembly starts this Saturday!!!!  ---------------------Bill

Went over to Jeff's to work on his track today. We started at 8:00am and worked until 3:30pm or so. We got the whole track up on it's legs and bolted together. It looks great, and Jeff did a great job on the room! Jeff is going to have one nice facility for slot car racers!

Well it's official, Jeff's Hemi Heights Raceway Park is now OPEN!!!! It seems only fitting the NASTE Halloween Race would be the inaugural event for Jeff's new track. And a great event it was! Thanks Jeff for all your work! Looking forward to many more races at Hemi Heights!  -----------------Bill

Yes the Halloween race was a blast!!..Thanks for the fun and food.....and its great to have another track to run on....The room turned out great....

No, that is Jeff's new permanent track.  They just got it completed in time for the traditional Halloween race.
