Topic: NASTE Race No.6 - The Gorge Raceway in Troutdale

The next NASTE race is Saturday December 20th at Bob Nakamura's track in Troutdale. A NEW track to race on! Bob's track is a very nice Scalextric 4 lane track with computer timing and lap counting. Like all NASTE Point Series Races the cars and controllers will be provided for the racers.

  Food for the event will be pot luck style, so please bring some kind of dish along. Feel free to post what you're planning to bring here. Bob will have water, soft drinks, and coffee on hand.

  Doors open at the usual time, 5:00pm. The entrance to the track is at the rear of Bob's house. Access is around the left side of the house.

Monte, Victoria and I made a trip over to Bob's on Saturday morning for a little testing. The testing went well and Bob's track is a lot of fun! Bob's track is in a room he designed and decorated just for the track and racing. The race on the 20th will be exciting!

Don't forget, this will be a POT LUCK event!

Bill: I will bring potato chips and some snacks for the race. What time do you want me to be at you're house Saturday to pick you up? Is Bob going to have iroc controllers, or should we bring our own?

We will have IROC controllers. The doors officially open at 5:00 pm, but I'd like to get there just a little early to help Bob get things set up. How about we meet here at my place around 4:00 pm?

Oh and you said doors open at 4 and also at 5. Know Terry won't be off work until later so guess it doesn't really matter to us, but I should know if you want me to post on FB. smile

You're welcome Bill. Just heard from June and she said they are bringing sausages in BBQ sauce and maybe quiche if she has time to make it.
Also, Tracy said he's bringing chips. It's easy for him and won't spoil on the long drive. smile
Is someone bringing plates and utensils? I think I might have some, but not sure exactly where they are right now. Will see if I can hunt them up.
I've been telling everyone to bring their own drinks.
I've got cookies and candy and cut up some veggies too.
I'll check back here before we leave for the race to see if any new posts have been made.

Dorothy, I've got the paper plates and utensils (forks, spoons, and a couple knives). Also bringing my famous almost homemade potatoe salad.

Bob, Thank you for letting us break in your new track! What a fantastic turn out for the first running at The Gorge Raceway!!! 22 RACERS!!! It was NASTE racing at its best!! The track was awesome, and performed flawlessly!!
