Topic: Slot it parts you would buy from a local hobby store???

Hello Everyone,
As far as I know the only local hobby store that stocks any Slot it parts is Bridgetown hobbies.
However I know the Hobby-town shop in Wilsonville stocks a little but they are a bit far away.
I've spoken with Randy at the SE 82 & Johnson Creek Hobby-town store and he is willing to stock parts that guys will buy.

What he wants is part #'s

So that's the layout - think it over write up a list with part # and I'll get it to him.
Then we will all have at least 1 more local place to get parts.

The nice thing with this is you can usually get it for retail with no shipping, and it helps support the local store.

Thanks for your input,
Jack

Re: Slot it parts you would buy from a local hobby store???

Jack, Thanks for posting this and putting forth the effort with Hobby-Town. Here's some parts I've been buying more than once;
SICH25 Slot It Sidewinder OFFSET motor pod
SICH01 Chassis Starter Kit Inline (HRS)
SICH04 Front Chassis Parts and Mounts
SICH05 Main Chassis Frame - High Rigidity
SICH09 Magnetic Suspension Kit
SICH20 Body to Chassis adapter cups (4x)
SIGSX18 - 32+34+36 tooth, hex screw M2, ERGAL, 018mm
SIPSMX Sidewinder Pinion Set 10+11+12+13 tooth (6.5 mm)
SIMF10 V12/3 - 29K motor, sidewinder, endbell drive
SICH07 Deep Guide for Wooden Track
SICH10 Race Guide Plastic Track / Deep
SIPA17M Magnesium 15X8 Super Light Wheels, M2 Screw (pair)
SIPA18M Magnesium 17X8 Super Light Wheels, M2 Screw
SIPA01 Axle 3/32"x54mm (2)
SIPA01-55H Axle 55mm Long Hollow (1)
Now of course that list could change depending on the next class that's raced at Randy's! But I know I'll always enjoy building HRS cars.  ---------------Bill

Thanks Bill for your input - I know that takes some time to write out.
If we can get enough guys to show some interest then they'll stock the parts.
Or as was once said - "If you build it they will come" - LOL
Come on guys - tap the keys!!

Re: Slot it parts you would buy from a local hobby store???

It would be nice to pick up just a few parts when needed instead of putting together a big order.

Re: Slot it parts you would buy from a local hobby store???

It would be nice to see the slower motor as well - SIMX05 - Tony says it would be a good choice for shorter tracks.  But stocking motors is going to be more of what we're using at the time.  I agree with all those parts Bill listed.  Plus the regular slot.it sidewinder pod - non-offset.  Maybe some braids.

That's about all I can think of Jack. Did you get my email about your computer?  ------------Bill

Re: Slot it parts you would buy from a local hobby store???

Hi Jack,

I don't think I'll change things on my Slot-It class car for just the couple of races that are left. Other than that I run pretty much box stock so I am no great need for Slot-It parts right now. But you can tell the guy that I would be buying stuff from him if he stocks it and I need it. His store is a lot closer to my work than Bridgetown.
