Re: The Next Big Thing at the Pen

Not easily with Scaley cars

Race cars are neither beautiful nor ugly. They become beautiful when they win.

Re: The Next Big Thing at the Pen

Hmmm, a good point there.  So what's our next choice?  I'm open to suggestions.

Re: The Next Big Thing at the Pen

OK, so the three of us are probably pretty well covered for any type or brand of car we decide to race, or are willing to purchase a new car. What about everybody else? I think we need to hear from others interested in racing to see what they think. Seems there are quite a few who are content with racing loaner cars. Are any of them interested in purchasing a car to race? What are they willing to pay for a car to race? Of the racers who have their own cars, what are they willing to pay for another car?

Who's out there?   Who's interested?   Speak up now, or it may be just Monte, Rico, and ME racing!

Re: The Next Big Thing at the Pen

Are we still talking about what cars to run for the next Sunday Series? Let's run purple cars!

Yes, and..............................OK!

I already have a purple car and it's name is Grimace.

Re: The Next Big Thing at the Pen

Works for me.  I've got an entire can of purple paint.  Any other restrictions?

Re: The Next Big Thing at the Pen

Seriously, we do have a choice to make and fairly soon.  I like the CanAm proposal as I already have several canidates.  What about any of the following:

1) SCX Nascar, most of us have one or two, they are cheap and plentiful.  Easy to administer as they are all pretty much the same
2) Open cockpit LMP cars, lots of brands to choose from SCX, Scaley, Fly, Avant and others.  Harder to set rules too but doable.
3) TransAm.  Lots of makes with similiar performance- Scaley, Carrera, Pioneer, Fly.

Re: The Next Big Thing at the Pen

I'm open to any of those four suggestions Rico. Whatever the class could you put together a list of eligible cars? That was helpful for me.

Looks like it's down just us four...................

..............I like purple!!!!!    ----------------Bill

hope all that was coherent..............the Vicodin is kicking in......................my stomach feels like a well used punching bag!!!!

Re: The Next Big Thing at the Pen

Any objection with sticking with the Ninco's for the remainder of the year?  Most people already have one of those.  I've also got an ample amount of loaner cars.

Re: The Next Big Thing at the Pen

OK with me...............

1 question: Can I switch out my car's full interior for a lexan interior pan like the Pro cars?

Re: The Next Big Thing at the Pen

Yes, you can do that.  I think...  I got my eye on you.    hmm

Go ahead.

Re: The Next Big Thing at the Pen

In lieu of a lexan interior, can I use card stock?

Re: The Next Big Thing at the Pen

C'mon, you can find a lexan one.  Card stock is just so cheesy.
