Re: Rapid 500 on Oct. 5, 2024

As one of the season kick-off races, the Rapid 500 is one of the premier races of the local racing season. This is a long, tough race, and you don't win it with just some good luck. It is a total of 64 minutes of power on, on track racing time. To win requires a very good car and a very good drive. There is no time or room for mistakes. This race is hard on equipment. Car failure and break downs are common place during this race, and this year was no different. So congratulations are due to all those that placed well, and to those that just plain finished! Thank you Howie for another fantastic Rapid 500!

The track was busy during pre-race practice.

There was a lot of activity in the pits prior to the start of the race.

Bart ended up spending a lot of time inspecting the underside of his car. He burned up two motors on his way to the finish!

Al had his race face on even before the green flag dropped!
