The play is "R.U.R. — Rossum's Universal Robots", actually written in 1920, but adapted by the director to streamline the language and be a little bit more contemporary. It deals with robots replacing humans (sort of like The Terminator), but is actually pretty topical in light of the increasing prevalence of artificial intelligence.
The play actually introduced the word "robot" to the English language. In Czech, "robota" means "forced laborer" (or slave). It runs Thursdays through Sundays from 9/13-10/20 at the Lakewood Theater, 368 S. State Street in Lake Oswego.
