Topic: 3DP Predator Le Mans Proxy Drivers Needed

I have been selected to run a round of the 2023 3D Predator Proxy on my track. The cars are on their way to me from Wisconsin now, but I'll be in Hawaii from 2/7-2/20. After that, I'll be able to host the event. I'll need some drivers to help.

Anybody interested???

All the cars are 3D printed as much as possible—bodies, chassis, wheels etc. Should be interesting to see how the process has progressed in terms of competitive cars.

Re: 3DP Predator Le Mans Proxy Drivers Needed

Sounds like fun.

I'm a definite maybe!

I will let you know details when I have them, Monte!

Re: 3DP Predator Le Mans Proxy Drivers Needed

Please.  Any idea how many cars are in the field?

Re: 3DP Predator Le Mans Proxy Drivers Needed

I could be persuaded if it fits in my schedule

Race cars are neither beautiful nor ugly. They become beautiful when they win.

Re: 3DP Predator Le Mans Proxy Drivers Needed

There are 11 cars in the field. You can see the entries here: https://www.hrwforum.com/forum/proxy-ra … ild-thread

There are several threads detailing cars and results available through this forum link:https://www.hrwforum.com/forum/proxy-racing/other-proxies/3d-vintage-le-mans-proxy-2023

Re: 3DP Predator Le Mans Proxy Drivers Needed

I’m interested !

Re: 3DP Predator Le Mans Proxy Drivers Needed

I'd try to make myself available as well.

Re: 3DP Predator Le Mans Proxy Drivers Needed

Excellent! I'll let you all know when the cars are ready to run.

Re: 3DP Predator Le Mans Proxy Drivers Needed

Get a date and I'll be there.

Re: 3DP Predator Le Mans Proxy Drivers Needed

All depends  on  what day and time 4 me

Cars are supposed to arrive by Monday, 2/26. I'll see when I have some free time thereafter for running the race. Do you all favor the weekend for the event? Or do you prefer an evening during the week?

Re: 3DP Predator Le Mans Proxy Drivers Needed

Weekends are better for me

Re: 3DP Predator Le Mans Proxy Drivers Needed

Road Rally days would be the conflict for us.  Those are typically on a Saturday here and there.

Next one is 3/23.

Re: 3DP Predator Le Mans Proxy Drivers Needed

Sounds like Sundays might be best?

Re: 3DP Predator Le Mans Proxy Drivers Needed

I'm already on the west side so anytime works for me.

Re: 3DP Predator Le Mans Proxy Drivers Needed

Well, the cars are here, and my track will be available in the next couple of days. As my Sundays are busy for the next 3 weeks, is anybody available for weekday nights or Saturday afternoons?

Looks like the cars will be fun.

Re: 3DP Predator Le Mans Proxy Drivers Needed

Big race at Bill Saturday so getting drivers is going be tough. Next Saturday looks like it open no racing.I have to work so I couldn't  do it till after 6pm.

Re: 3DP Predator Le Mans Proxy Drivers Needed

I can do Saturday, 4/1 as long as it's in the daytime (prior to 5:45 pm). Will anybody be available during the day on the 1st of April? There are only about 9 cars, so it shouldn't take too long to get through them all.

Weekend nights until after April 7 are out for me, but after that, the sky's the limit.

Re: 3DP Predator Le Mans Proxy Drivers Needed

By my calendar, 4/1 is a Monday.

Re: 3DP Predator Le Mans Proxy Drivers Needed

You're absolutely right. I'm thinking about 3/30. Anybody available then?

Re: 3DP Predator Le Mans Proxy Drivers Needed

Vic is out of town that day, so no car for Monte.

Re: 3DP Predator Le Mans Proxy Drivers Needed

Could you come if I gave you a ride?

Re: 3DP Predator Le Mans Proxy Drivers Needed

I wouldn't make you do that.  The most likely action would be to get the Alfa moving.

I'll have an update on that by tomorrow.

Re: 3DP Predator Le Mans Proxy Drivers Needed

I don't know....has the Alfa actually ever gone that far?
