Rico, I took a look at one of the cars in the Sears Marx road race set I have. The motor clip or strap looks similar to the ones on the Cox 1/24 cars with the magnesium chassis. The one for the Marx chassis is more squared off in design. Now that I know exactly what it looks like I just have to find one! I know if nothing else, somewhere I have a complete chassis that was part of my stuff before I got Goose's stuff. I'll look some more tomorrow. Emptied four boxes today!

The only one like that is in a complete car. I think I have one for a Cox somewhere in a box, but as Bill says they are a bit different.

The bracket looks great Rico
I may have the correct tires in either urethane or NSR Supergrips.
I put the Supergrips on my 906 and it runs fantastic, but if I race with other guys using Urethanes I might have a dust issue.

I don't think any NSR tires are going to fit those wheels......BOSA makes a few different tires that will fit for vintage 1/24 cars.
In fact it looks like you have BOSAs on there now. There are also some narrower ones available.

They do, for large diameter wheels and small, narrow and wide.

They work fantastic on my track, but what I found during the DTM race was as I had broken one of my BOSA tires in the afternoon I Trued up some Supergrips and ran a few great laps before I left for Al's. During practice it still ran great laps. As I came into the race after most of the other cars had ran on the urethane tires it was loose and all over the track. It felt like I had Strombecker tires.
These 1/24 scale tires would probably be the same.

It does have BOSA tires and as stated previously I have some even wider ones but what I don’t have is narrower ones. I had no idea but Mitch is correct. NSR does indeed make tires to fit https://www.professormotor.com/product-p/nsr5245.htm

I wonder why we just don't use the BOSA tires on our cars exclusively. Personally I'd rather spend my money on other things than slot car tires. Like whole slot cars.

I believe the urethane tires have a longer shelf life, that's what appeals to me for the old vintage cars. I have a lot of old vintage cars that don't get run often. With urethane tires I can pull the cars off the shelf and put them on the track, even if just once every couple years, and they will run around the track fine. No sanding or doping of the tires required.
