Topic: Final Race of the Season

A big thanks to Bill and Diane for providing us a great final event to the 2009 season.  And also a big round of applause was heard at the conclusion of the event in honor of Fantasy World Tony for generously sending us down his 4 Racer Ferrari 250 LM's for the race.  They were a hit and everyone realized just how special they were.  Easy to drive and very competitive, all the drivers enjoyed running those cars on the Bullring.  Total devastation was limited to a headlight lens that popped off and a loose wire that we fixed.  And yes, the tires did last however I would say they are pretty well finished.

Congratulations to Bryan Trachsel, the 2009 NASTE Season Champion who wrapped up the season despite a less than impressive 6th place finish.  In fairness, a few roadblocks were placed in his way...

And this time Bill was the man!  Driving at a pace that no one else could manage, his first set of heats was the top run of the night besting the second place finisher (me!) by two laps.  I spent part of the drive home trying to figure out where I could have gotten two more laps and couldn't find it.  He was just too fast!

Then there was Dorothy's Chocolates.  Mmm-mmm good!

What a night and what a season.

TONY - This goes out to you. THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR LOANING US THOSE BEAUTIFUL RACER FERRARI 250 LMs for our last race of the NASTE 2009 IROC series!!!!

The cars were BEAUTIFUL and their performance was EXCEPTIONAL! The cars ran great!

Bryan - CONGRATS on the Championship Win!!!!!!

I would like to throw out a BIG THANK YOU to Bill and Monte for planning and officiating another season.  This would also go out to all the track owners who let us use and abuse their tracks.  I still think my favorite race was the Blizzard Bash at Jeff's.  Here's to next year!

Yes snow mobiles would have been a blast!
Thanks to Bill for a great  end of the season race...Great host and food and Dorothy's chocolate

This last year was alot of fun and im already looking forward to next season. And I agree with Monte, Bill was the man!!!...he drove the wheels off of those cars..

And thanks to Tony also for the use of the cars...they are a blast to drive.
I think we have a new member for next year also.....A big thanks to all the track owners who put on races last year.
