Require stock wheels?

Also maybe include a definition of "front engine" as seen on the forums of having an intermediate driveshaft between the motor and the pinion?

That is the type of front
Motor chassis cars was  suggesting. Thinking no on aftermarket  wheels for now.trying to keep it a low cost class. Will address  that 8f guys are have  issues with stock running gear.only thing I found is that you have to super glue the intermediate  shaft bushing in the chasdis

Revell/Monogram - Cobra Daytona GT Coupes = YES
                            Grand Sport Corvettes = YES
                            Greenwood Corvettes = YES
                            Jaguar E-Type = 1
                            Shelby Mustang GT350R = YES

Scalextric - L88 Corvette w/hardtop = YES
                 L88 Corvette convertible = YES

At this point in time I have not yet inventoried the Scalextric cars so I do not know what I have available in that brand. I do however know I have the L88 Corvettes! If you guys decide to move forward with this class I am willing to sell any of the cars listed above for $20 a piece to support the new class. This is the "racer price" to NASTE Odd Thursday Night racers. I may have other eligible Scalextric cars, but until I complete the inventory I won't know for sure. I may have two or three Fly Ferrari 250 GTOs but I would need more than $20 for them. I no longer have any Revell Porsche 550 Spyders for sale, they're all sold or spoken for.

One question I have in regards to this new class is, how do the Revell/Monogram motors compare to the Scalextric's performance-wise?

This is Fly's 250GTO It's wheels have a 5mm rib on the front wheels and a 6mm rib on the rear. This severely reduces tire choices that look right with the car. It also has independent front axles that are very wobbly.

This is my kinda race night! PGE and Classic 2. If anyone needs a quick PGE car I have many!

Re: NASTE Odd Thursday Night Racing Rules & Current Thread

I could use one but I'll just slag the 917 around the track.  It's at least easy to drive.

Re: NASTE Odd Thursday Night Racing Rules & Current Thread

The 917 is legal for sure!

Re: NASTE Odd Thursday Night Racing Rules & Current Thread

As usual, racing at Al's was a blast. I want to especially thank Zack for loaning me his McLaren for the evening; it's a rare treat for me to drive a well-prepared car, and I found that I could actually be relatively competitive. Just have to emulate some of Zack's speed secrets on my own cars, and see if I improve at all...

Re: NASTE Odd Thursday Night Racing Rules & Current Thread

I'll echo what Stan said, it was a great time at Al's last night! The other part of his post that caught my attention was "Zack Speed". How appropriate!

I'm gonna try something a little different for posting the results this morning. Mostly because i'm old and lazy!

Re: NASTE Odd Thursday Night Racing Rules & Current Thread

I also would thank Zack for the use of the loaner car last night. It proved way faster than mine. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention that it did indeed have braids unlike someone else’s car who shall remain nameless. Also thanks to Al for hosting, a great time was had by all.

Rico
