I have a Hudy if you want to give it a try.
All you need is an adjustable power supply that will run at about 5 volts and you're good to go.

What you do is create a typical FAST car and then offer to send it to clubs as an exchange loaner for one of their typically fast cars.
Then you can get an actual comparison. It's like a weird proxy combined with a voyage of discovery.
"he was so fast, he was even fast asleep, and so deep, he was unfathomable"!
No problems on the mods, I'll fix you up.
Stan, I have quite a few if you'd like a loaner.
Hey gang, just for something fun to do let's have our own proxy.
You can sign up for free to either be a track host, a competitor or both. Events can be run with multiple drivers or just one. It's all for fun and there won't be any prizes.
The cars allowed will be by Slot.it and are:
Lancia LC2
Nissan R-series
Porsche 956
Porsche 962
Sauber Mercedes
Toyota
This is the entire line of the Slot.it Group C cars.
Rules will be forthcoming, I anticipate opening day to be in early February.
So let's get this ball rolling. Who's an entrant and who can be a track host?
Entries:
Monte
Mitch
Jeff
Stan
Rico
Tim
Frank
Tracks:
Penguin Peak
Allenbrook Raceway
Autodromo Rossa Colline
Rippin' Ridin' Raceway
You're on my list Mitch.
Farm animals... They still work on a rally stage. Watch out for that moose!
And the track is still available for racing, it's just a longer commute. ;-)
Yesterday we loaded up the track and it headed south to Cottage Grove with its' new owner.
Thank you Mike, may your racing be pleasant.
Now to build a rally track.
Well, it sounds like all his troubles are behind him. I hope everything came out ok.
PEAK!
Rally hill climb. Get your boots, guys.
The track has a new owner. It's going to Cottage Grove. We feel pretty good about this.
So long Penguin Point, hello Penguin Peak.
Great report Bill. Looks like a fun time was had. Mr. Phillis sure gets around.
Not knowing much of the crowd, was that also a bunch of Ron's racers?
That green Vette looks to have hard a hard life.
I thought the Tommy Ivo post was very cool. What a splendid person.
Yes, please.
Needs to find a new home soon or it will be heading up the road to the landfill.
That would be a sad day indeed.
Vic and I went to the Vancouver shop one time. They gave her a wing car to run circles around me with. She liked it a lot.
It does look a little like it got stepped on already.
The track will be going to Doc in Vancouver.
Thank you very much.
Contact me please.
Track is still available at no cost to a local buyer.
It is now disassembled and is basically two 4x8 sections with a third smaller one and a complete PC system for scoring.
All you need is a power supply.
I'll say this , I give much credit to Thunderslot for building cars that compete with both NSR and Slot.It without copying the exact formula.
I seem to recall letting our favorite South American run my car one night and without any practice at all and he was kicking some tail as well.
And one of the things is the Thunderslots don't even have to be well tuned, just taken out of the box and put on the track. The NSR's may be similar.
Maybe the Can Am class should just be Slot.It cars, there are plenty of those to go around.
Well tuned ones, of course.
Amen. brother, amen.
At least until something faster comes along.
Agreed.
Thanks Al.
You could be right. Or augments it.
"A few and a couple" against the standard out-of-the-box car. Imagine what that Thunderslot might be like with time invested in it like was invested in the few and a couple - which is what will be next.
I'm ok with this but for the majority it's just buy a Thunderslot and go racing.
