So was I thinking a loop style lay out.up on the one side and one lane loop at the end and back down the same way you came. But going all wood would work to.

Let’s make one :-)
Like a small hill climb or something.
I'm game! Will happily contribute to the construction but would need it to reside somewhere else, at least for the near term.
I have lots of extra scaley track that I can donate for the cause

What I was saying was only thunderslot class for the last two rounds. But that's only if every body was on board with it. Be a preview for what the next season would be like with them.the coup and spider would run together.I would have no problem letting my car be a loner for those that don't have one and there are other I think feel the same. But only if EVERY is on board with it or if that is not the case, then what Chris was saying to re run gt and cam am cars without the TS in the field.

Looks like every one I talked to and showed at Monties was ok with the rule change.just need make clear it is only the gear that can be changed. Must use stock bushing axle and rims. Same gear ratio must be used

I had a moment of crystal clear vision while in the shower.the fog and haze melted away with heat of the hot water rushing over my toned sun tanned body. instead of banning the thunder slots. why not add two more dates to the end of the season and run them then for a make up for the two races we are going to drop. that way those that have them can still enjoy them and those that dont have time to get one or choose not to run those last two races or use a loner,

Re: NASTE Odd Thursday Night Racing (91 replies, posted in Race Rules)
I like to make a change to the gt3 rules. this change is not a performance up grade. more in the line of a fix.there have been a number of guys that have had a problem with spur gear spinning on the axle. Rico on his 3rd and I think Greg has had one or two. I just had my 2nd one let loose this last race. I have found if you can get one of the rims off you can slide the axles bushings off the axle. you then can slide a slot it spur gear onto the axle with a little force. re assy the bushings and glue the rim back on and no more loose spur gears.
I have not run it on a track yet but it runs smooth on my test bench. its cheaper than a new axle. only place I have been able to buy them from is electric slots and shipping is more than the axle was. I will have it at Monties if anybody want to see what I did. only thing is we need to keep the same gear ratio. for this to be fair.

wb0s wrote:So here's an idea for the remainder of the point series season. Make a change to the racing calendar which removes the GT Class and Can Am Class races from the point series for the remainder of the point series season. Change those races to non-point races and address rules changes for next season. Continue running those classes as non-point races and maybe someone will figure out how to make Slot.it or NSR cars run with the Thunderslots? At least this way there will be no more penalty for not owning a Thunderslot.
If it's causing this much of a furor, here's my proposal-
There's no reason to do away with any of the classes for points, the only wrench in the works is the Thunder Slot, and I think the only round we've run with them was this week's Can Am. To make the most people happy, outlaw the Thunderslots for the rest of this year's Championship, throw the past week's round out the window, keep the final Can Am and GT rounds as part of this year's series, and figure out a way to integrate the Thunderslots into our rules structure in the coming off-season (which may still be exclusion from the championship).
This puts the competition back to where it was pre-TS, which was a known playing field before the season started and everyone should have a handle on just exactly how competitive their entries are and at least feel like it's an even field.
I'm for that also
